Apparently this lad has some sort of connection, heard quite a few people talk about him on here, next week could be the week finally! Sounds about right.

Yeah, fingers crossed! Bring the light was released around 3 months before Different gear so hopefully we get to hear one or two songs in the build up the Album #2 the same way we got Bring the light, The Roller and Four letter word before Different Gears' Feb 2011 release.

I posted this earlier on twitter but I'll explain the current situation more fully here. Basically it is going to be played on Zane Lowe's show, he will announce the date of the first play on Fridays show or at the beginning of the week. A first play release date was set but it has been put back/delayed. The announcement of the play on the show by Zane however will only be made when the date is 100% confirmed, which currently it has not been set. As a guide it 'should' be first played on the show in the next couple of weeks so you can turn off your radios this week!

At least we are talking weeks instead of months. Possibly even days
They are obviously ready for a play. Even if it doesn't work out with R1 they won't sit on it for too long

Isn't he a record exec for RCA? I thought that was what was said last time although I can't remember by who. If that is the case then I would assume its pretty much nailed on.

Ive no idea why theyve gone with Radio 1... I thought Beady eye would be more suited to Radio 2.
Can anyone remember 'Bring the light' getting first play, I'm sure that was put straight onto Beady Eye's website via Youtube

It was ther first full single. BTL and FLW weren#t really supported at all thought though they may technically be counted as singles

Wasn't play listed though. I don't know why they are trying to debut on Radio 1 again. Maybe they think with the new direction they are taking they could break back into that market? It was Oasis' home after all. It's more likely they'll get pushed to Radio 2 again like they did last time though. As Rolo says, they're too old to be on Radio 1 apparently.

Knowing that the chances are slim it would be played there and that the station and its playlist is completely awful? I don't think they 'aspire' to it in anyway. As someone said they have been about to long for that. If it was a mega single no doubt it would be picked up but I don't think they are that bothered tbh. In my opinion they would be quite happy with a better selling record and a few slightly bigger gigs. Maybe all of them except Liam anyway haha.

I liked the Maida Vale performance they did on Zanes' Show. Theres only really Zane I'd listen to on Radio 1 so if they were played on his show and his show only I wouldn't mind.
I suppose its difficult to say where they will be best placed until we hear their new material.

In my opinion they would be quite happy with a better selling record and a few slightly bigger gigs. Maybe all of them except Liam anyway haha. I only mean I think they generally want to reach the same demographic as he did when he was in Oasis not that they are chasing success. Liam's been Radio 1 his whole career until now and I don't think he wants to peacefully go to Radio 2 with the softer, more mature music. Liam doesn't want to be lumped in with the older demographic music, I don't think. Noel seems contented to that. Liam still wants to play for the kids. He wants to played with the Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian not Michael Buble and Taylor Swift. I'm judging mostly by the fact that they have elected to debut another single on Radio 1 instead of Radio 2 which was where they got the most airplay last time around so would have been the more natural place. Fair enough that Radio 1 has a lot of shit on it though. Last time I tuned in was for the debut of The Good Rebel I think. It was excruciating. Don't know why they always debut on the BBC anyways. Why not XFM?

Because radio 1 is a national station and xfm is regional it's not hard to work out why?

Because radio 1 is a national station and xfm is regional it's not hard to work out why? Not British. No idea where you can hear what. Thanks for the info.
