Tried going to and watching womens football a few times. It just always lacks the pace and intensity of the mens game that makes it exciting. It's technically good but I always feel like im at or watching a friendly/reserve game. It's enjoyable enough, but I could never get hooked. Saying that I'd probably rather watch any womens game over the torture of watching my teams Norwich's style of negative, ineffective, rigid, predictable, defeatist boring style of football under Hughton on saturdays

I agree with you on women's football - it's not as fast paced as the mens football which is detrimental to the viewing. That isn't sexist, it's just fact, though in comparison to Scottish football, it plays like Liverpool's form at the moment.

That isn't sexist, it's just fact, though in comparison to Scottish football, it plays like Liverpool's form at the moment. haha, sorry to the OP for going off topic but the football under Hughton has been woeful 90% of the time. The strange thing is every time his job is on the line he abandons his usual rigid, stifling tactical approach, gives the players freedom to play their own game and dominate and we always win with a good performance....then for the next few games we revert back to camping on our own 25 yard line, standing off all game, counter attacking at a snails pace trying to force our only attacking plan which is pass the ball to Snodgrass until he's fouled and try to score from the set piece... and inevitably getting dominated and losing. It's unbearable! I've met Hughton a couple of times before and he really is a lovely guy, has a lot of time and patience with the fans and I bet the players all love him, but unfortunately he is a very average manager and unfortunately a club of our size and financial clout needs a lot better than 'average' to thrive in this league. Under Lambert we pressed high and counter attacked quickly, it wasn't exactly Barcelona but it was effective, entertaining, it got the fans onside and we usually ended up with a positive result.

As long as there is no evidence of match fixing then the result should stand regardless of the shocking refereeing decision. What would they have done had the penalty been in an earlier part of the match. especially if goals had been scored afterwards. It was an impressive penalty from Leah Williamson considering she had a couple of days to think about it.
