the BDI page wasn't slandering but you said i'm living up to the stereotypical american by saying people should be sued for slander, which they should be. God bless. And for passing on unconfirmed information and rumours. That is where I find you being over-the-top. Even you have said that there isn't any slander in the page. But you were the one that proposed the thought that they should be sued. So presumably you must think that passing along rumours or unverified reports if worthy of being sued. That is where I think you are being a stereotype. i meant if they were spreading info. in a negative way but they could be sued for spreading rumours as fact, or their page could be consumed by the official page and they be given a bone to shut them up and make it look good..... Don't even get me started on the ludicrousness of your "break people face in" approach to conflict. being punched in the face is a great reality check for the recipient, if warranted and therapuetic for the puncher. i'm not a violent person normally but let's say just say i don't back away from confrontation and i have a few scars to prove it. generally pussies don't respond well to verbal warnings but a nice punch in the face normally gets the message across. also, you being a female probably think these thoughts are stupid but they are effective. so you'd appreciate/accept someone spreading false information about you? God bless. Was any of it harmful? Annoying sure. But people spread false info all the time here too. Should they all be sued? The fan page was hardly malicious and born out of genuine enthusiasm. I'm 90% sure that the person that runs that page also runs a Kasabian page who actually broke the law, by stealing media and not crediting the owner. When the owner contacted them, kindly asking them to remove it, they were abusive to the owner, and several others. They then blocked them, and now continue to do it. I believe that the content owners are working to get them shut down. |
