This document also indicates that their record label is "SONY MUISC" instead of "SONY MUSIC" In semi-related news, this same document lists "BUttFUkula And THE REMIXES FROM EARTH vol 1" as an album title from a different artist in 2009. This might be the greatest album title of all-time.

Who is this Karen Thompson and what is her involvement with this record? I thought Spike Stent was the mixing guy...

It was a nice way of them telling him to cease and desist. They will take control of FB and give him a fan portion page on Tumblr and then promises etc, if he becomes a problem they'll just sack him off. If he said no to 'exclusives' and tickets they would've pulled out big guns and just took the account

Well he is a fan. It doesn't do to piss off the fans by being mean to them just because they are over zealous.

Yup, sounds about right for Liam. He has no problem suing his own brother for speaking the truth but he won't sue his fans for spreading false rumors.

Annoying sure. But people spread false info all the time here too. Should they all be sued? The fan page was hardly malicious and born out of genuine enthusiasm.

While I would tend to agree with let it bleed we don't really know the the intention behind the offer. They might actually want to unite pages with thousands off fans.

The fan page was hardly malicious and born out of genuine enthusiasm. in this instance, yes it was harmless but people should be sued for slander. personally i think it should be legal to break someone's face if slandered but in the pussy world we live in matters like that have to be handled in courts. people should also know how to present info, i.e. credit sources and not give rumours as fact. God bless.

God bless. You think the fan page was slanderous? I said before that they should have put up warnings that certain posts were unverified rumours. But you think they need to get sued? That's a bit extreme...and frankly I'd lose a lot of respect for BDI if they started suing their fans for perpetuating rumours. Need I remind you that they got basically all the rumours here...many of they presented to the board as fact.

It wasn't slanderous but it was definitely implying that it was an official source.
People were reading its information and believing it to be official which could be damaging commercially.
The fact BE had to do a press release via the NME to say when the single would be played was pretty much in direct response to them saying every week 'the single will be played this week!'

God bless. And for passing on unconfirmed information and rumours. That is where I find you being over-the-top. Even you have said that there isn't any slander in the page. But you were the one that proposed the thought that they should be sued. So presumably you must think that passing along rumours or unverified reports on a fan page is worthy of being sued. That is where I think you are being a stereotype.
