I also think you may be right, but was a new thread needed for this? You could have just said it on the thoughts section...

Andy's songs usually feel anti-climatic like they're aiming for a big chorus that never arrives. Exciting.

The DBTT tour opening with TUTS and BE opening with 4WL were both highlights for me and majority of the crowd. (obv the recorded versions also good)
I'd be happy for that man to have responsibility to open BE2

I think he wrote it because he generally writes the best up-tempo songs and this being a lead single, I reckon it will be quite rocking. His reaction to Zane Lowe saying he thought it was really good also makes me think he wrote it

Might be.
Anyhow, I think this time it'll be more difficult to define who wrote what. I guess this time they wrote more songs together, probably building on individual ideas from each one. I can't remember where I read it but I remember Liam saying something like that.

I hope it's a more collaborative thing between Gem and Andy, less so Liam. There's a clip on Lord Don't Slow Me Down where they're working on something in a hotel room on the acoustic, I reckon if they got their heads together they could produce some quality stuff. I'm looking forward to hearing it anyway.

If he was that boring then I don't understand why someone with Liam's personality would be such great mates with him. Who gives a shit anyway?

'Cut and Shut' was the working title of that little song.

33,33 percent says Andy Bell wrote it. Never underestimate the songwriting skills of Chris Sharrock.

How hilarious would it be if they just stole some unheard Noel song that he played to them, and made it their own?

maybe its one of the tunes, they had written all together, which were mentioned. i remember a interview or somehting, where they said, that the managment send them back to write some other stuff, after they heard their first demos and then they started to write together, which were some of the best songs ever for them

They've all had some hits and misses but together I think thy could be better and more consistent by persisting on writing apart. I think that Gem's influence is a major reason that Liam's songwriting improved so much after LJ. According to various sources Gem started helping Liam realize his visions from very early and Andy always did his own thing. Adding Andy into the mix will hopefully make it even better.

How the hell do you have a feeling who wrote a song if you haven't heard it or don't even know what the songs called?
