I thought this was already known though? Prior to working with Beady Eye I don't think Sitek ever really listened to Oasis. It's def not part of this world.

Just read the actual article, Dave Steik said 'He had never listened to Oasis and that he missed the boat on that one because he was messing with drum machines' and something like that. The operative word here is had 'never heard'. He wasn't slagging them off. Much different from if he had said 'Oasis, never heard of them' as the title of this thread states. Totally misleading thread title! |

All he's really saying is that he never got "into" Oasis and had a good proper listen before now . . . because lets be honest, Wonderwall has been heard by almost everyone living today at some point. Random shop, radio, at work, its everywhere, literally.
Seems like a nice guy overall though.

The fact that he hadn't heard them is not new I know!! but If you say 'Oasis, never heard of them' as the title of the thread that's being a wise ass. But he didn't say that, he simply said that he hadn't heard any of their songs in the 90's. No being a wise ass there, he was being honest. So my point is the title of the thread was misleading and made it look like he was slagging them off and kissing Liam's ass when in reality in the actual interview he was just being honest. No malice there. |
