"It's pure rock n roll" I worry about comments like that. Usually reserved for songs that are kinda shit but loud. No, it's the sound of "The Beatles on acid" or the sound of Gem's friends jaws dropping. Just kidding.

Liam promised us a garage record years ago. This could be it. I hope it is. Overproduced doesnt suit liam's voice.

You wouldn't bring in Dave Sitek for that based on his track record. His records typically have an electronic edge to them. Think more like Kasabian or his own band TV On The Radio. Dave will bring color and landscape to this record.

It was mentioned that there was going to be horns and a lot of horns on the new record, I was thinking it might be like Sam Roberts album "Collider" because it was produced by one of the guys from TV on the radio

I only hope that the search of sound and textures and psychedelic vibes won't leave aside the efforts on a good songwriting.

I want a finished tune rather than some half baked thing with tablas in the background. That is the key right there and hopefully Dave Sitek will pick the most complete tunes to work on for this album. No half finished products please. Only the best for Beady Eye moving forward. Leave the other material for b-sides.

I dont see how that could fit with a "Kasabian" sound. I already hear something closer to Sgt Pepper. Or Round Are Way

First one is atrocious Lennon, that trumpet solo is killing me with lols. Second one i never really noticed them !
Gotta say i'm not much of a Kasabian fan, the last record was half ok. I really hope it wont be a copy / past of that sound.

The guy knows how to produce. I have a ton of faith in him. He won't let us down. I believe in that. He weeds through the bullshit.

Yeah, TV on the Radio is both quality and interesting, and although I don't find the Yeah Yeah Yeah's particularly outstanding most of the time, if nothing else even their low points are quite listenable. Even if nothing else, I'm sure a KFAD equivalent gone through a similar treatment would be a much more engaging listen

If the new Beady Eye album sounds like Kasabian, obviously it'll be better than Kasabian due to having a competent vocalist and people involved who write actual songs, it won't be much good.

Cross my fingers for a second "the roller". Because that was a proper single! In my opinion the best beady eye song. Better than a lot oasis songs (from 2002-2008)!

Dave Sitek productions are neat and well done, but they lack soul to me. They're good for TV ads, but for a band with Liam Gallagher, something else is needed. I shall wait and hear though.

I spoke to some one on twitter who was there and he said he met Liam and he said the single is 4 weeks away.
I asked whether he thought he ment first play or release date but he wasnt sure (id guess release date)
He never said anything about the track being played tho.

Cheers, was hoping it was played as the Sun said but on the other hand no one seems to have mentioned the song and only mentioned meeting Liam.
Oh well not long to wait hopefully, a month at least

First airplay could be as early as a couple of weeks then! What do we reckon, two singles then the album end of may? I can see it about that time, but we might get it slightly earlier or later, because they'll want to make sure that the record doesn't clash with Miles Kane's new album, which is due around the same time.

Beady Eye fearing a clash with Miles Kane? Dear lord that's sad. It use to be the other way around for Liam. Surely Beady Eyes new album will out perform Miles (who I like a lot).

Miles album was great. But he debuted at 11. BDI were a very respectable selling #3 behind 2 of the best selling about of the year.
