Wow love reading about other fans journey's into all things Oasis, HFB and Beady Eye. I started with MG and have been hooked ever since . Have bought all the CD singles, Dvd singles , compilation albums, official video's and DVD's and have been driving my wife nuts ever since. Have always been very excited when new songs arrive and this new Beady Eye album i think will be brilliant. Ever since Oasis broke up it has all been good news we have had 2 great albums , 2 long tours, quite a few bonus tracks b sides etc and not to mention coutless bootlegs both audio and video. So bring it on i say. Cheers Everyone

Yep, it's very cool to see that people are still getting into Oasis. I'd love to erase my memory and rediscover all those songs again for the first time. I got into Oasis in 1997/98 - my brother got 'Be Here Now' on cassette and we used to listen to it everyday after school doing our homework in our bedroom. Both of us saved up and bought 'Morning Glory' and 'Definitely Maybe' from our local store and we literally didn't leave the room for days listening in awe. When 'Giants' came out I began to look into b-sides and bootlegs and became a proper Oasis nut around that time.

Haha some great stories on here. I was SIX when I first fell in love with Oasis. My dad actually had DM on cassette in his car and I remember constantly getting him to rewind Supersonic. It's mad that that tune still has the same effect on me now at 24 FFS, that's just ludicrous really. When you think about how your music taste matures over time and you discover new stuff, yet I always come back to Oasis. There's something about the Gallaghers and music, they have a spirit which as a Mancunian myself I immediately tap into.
I always thought the split was the right decision. I'd never say that I'd become bored of Oasis, my obsession was as big as it had ever been but I think here in the UK things had stagnated a bit. The solo records (in particular Noel's) have re-invigorated interest somewhat and if Beady Eye can pull something out of the bag we could be on for a glorious rebirth of Liam. 2013 definitely has the makings of a special year for proper music.

Hey! Really liked reading the stories! I started listening thanks to LOST haha. I think it was in 2007 that the episode in which Charlie plays "Wonderwall" was aired. Just after the episode I downloaded "Stop The Clocks" and became a full-time fan in a few days time. I just couldn't listen to anything else for a year. With time I got to buy the albums and singles. My first Oasis-related release was Dig Out Your Soul. I didn't like it at first, but the years passed and I think it's a pretty good album. I was really excited -just like now with Beady Eye's new album- with NGHFB and Different Gear, Still Speeding, I think I like the way things are with NGHFB and BE. I was lucky enough to get to see the three Gallagher related bands live, which makes me really happy!

Yes! Great stories! I love oasis since I am 13 (in 1996) and saw them first when I was 14. It's strange to see how fast the time is running! This year it's 16 years ago when I saw them coming out a telepone box and made me fucking mad for it! Since that time I traveled quite a lot in europe to see them live.

Really?... D'you mean first time something's been released whilst you're on this forum, or first time there's been something released as an oasis/noel/liam fan?... First time as a fan. I became an Oasis fan just a few weeks after Noel's album came out. Been fucking obsessed ever since! Enjoy it. The build up is usually more fun then the actual album.

The character Charlie is... -a musician in a rocknroll band with his brother -his brother is called Liam -they are from Manchester, grew up in the 80s though -he and his brother struggled with drugs -charlie plays Wonderwall on a street corner (not correct chords though, mind you) in an episode If you're an Oasis fan, it seems somewhat evident.

I'm pretty sure it was also admitted that they intentionally ripped the melody for the fictions "band's" single, You All Everybody (or something like that) from Oasis' Rock 'n' Roll Star as an homage. The actor that plays Charlie, Dominic Monaghan, is an Oasis fan as well.

Yeah, the creators are 100% Oasis fans, I don't know if they publicly addmited it somewhere, besides the Rock 'N' Roll Star rip off. I guess that makes LOST even a better TV series Anyway, enjoy it mkoasis!

There's an extra in the season 1 boxset of lost where Dom says that they wanted drive shaft to sound like oasis / ocean colour scene.
Obviously their single is basically rock n roll star tho.
There's also a video on YT of Dom Monaghan singing supersonic at a lord Of the rings party

First time as a fan. I became an Oasis fan just a few weeks after Noel's album came out. Been fucking obsessed ever since! haha, when I got into them, I deleted everything else and my iTunes library consisted solely of Oasis, Beady Eye and Noely G for about a year before I started to listen to some other stuff. Still obsessed with them though. I thought I was one of the latest here and DOYS was the first Gallagher release I had as a fan. Shame you never got the chance to go to a gig though, even in 2009 Oasis were a great live band. i just became a fan last year and after what seems like an immediate obsession I realized they had broken up 2009. so disappointing, but I got to see NG which was incredible- still cant believe it

very excited! I had actually overlooked Different Gear for whatever reason, but today I listen to wigwam the whole song and I loved it, the ending felt epic. the whole album feels different now, in a good way. hope I get to hear Liam live.

I always say that DGSS is a grower. The first times i listened to it i didn't like it at all. Now i like it more than NGHFB's. It's more spicy and rocknroll, that's what Oasis made me addict to after all.

Yes these are fun times, the ''in the know people'' who give amusing fake reviews, the amazon track preview leaks, the fountains of wayne track that people send around as a new Oasis tune, the tracklist philosophers who come out and analyze the whole album and deeper meaning behind it, the ebay promo's, people who are standing in the studio next to Oasis/BDY/HFB while they are recording ect.
I'm all for it!

Beady Eye will seek out a Noel free week for sure. I really hope they unleash the single by the first week in April. Let's kick off the spring in style!

"It's pure rock n roll"
I worry about comments like that. Usually reserved for songs that are kinda shit but loud.
