First time as a fan. I became an Oasis fan just a few weeks after Noel's album came out. Been fucking obsessed ever since! haha, when I got into them, I deleted everything else and my iTunes library consisted solely of Oasis, Beady Eye and Noely G for about a year before I started to listen to some other stuff. Still obsessed with them though. I thought I was one of the latest here and DOYS was the first Gallagher release I had as a fan. Shame you never got the chance to go to a gig though, even in 2009 Oasis were a great live band. You're right, I wish I could've gone to an Oasis gig. Hopefully there'll be a reunion some day. If there is, no matter what I'll be there!

yay I'm excited!! this is the first time I've been 'around' for a new release. I like everything Beady Eye's done so far, I don't think the single could possibly be such a letdown that I wouldn't enjoy it if only because it's NEW stuff from my man Liam. Congrats Sally .....you hit the 100 mark quick ! Glad your enjoying the build up . Enjoy it .....I can't get into a bdi or Noel build up will support it ,buy it. And all but the only oasis related buildup I will be excited over is a oasis album buildup or reunion tour buildup ...my passport is always renewed just in case it's time to travel again . But as for this just can't get enthused about the buildup but will listen and support as always wow thanks I didn't realize I had posted that much!!

Really hope Beady Eye comes out swinging. I'd like them to come back to Chicago so I can finally see them, seeing as I missed them last time. This will be my 5th Oasis related release. Hopefully it's one of the best

Pure Rock n Roll?
You could say the same thing about Bring the Light. Be afraid.

Pure Rock n Roll? You could say the same thing about Bring the Light. Be afraid. Bring The Light is great. Definitely the most fun tune since the break up and brilliant live.

I became an Oasis fan just a few weeks after Noel's album came out. Been fucking obsessed ever since! Wow....that is a steady dose of Oasis and Gallagher brothers to take in over the last 14 months or so. Out of curiosity how did you digest it all? From High Flying Birds back to DM to MG to BHN, SOTSOG, etc? Did you do it in order basically? Either way that's like a crash course of Gallagher overload. Which band member did you minor in? I had a friend get into Radiohead right after Kid A came out but before Amnesiac was released. He did like a crash course on the albums/singles/b-sides/bootlegs. Then had the balls to say " this fucking band takes forever to release new music". I still laugh at that comment to this day. He got 4 brand "new" radiohead albums in like 3 months, then complained that Amnsiac was taking too long to be released. Not saying any of that relates to you but it just reminded me of a friend who went "all in".

And in the shortest gap between Radiohead albums

And in the shortest gap between Radiohead albums Exactly! My friend was unreal at the time. He didn't realize how good he had it. Now Radiohead takes huge amounts of time off with little information leaking out to fans about recording sessions. They recorded with/at Jack White's studio in June. I'm STILL WAITING for info on those sessions. I know they recorded "Identikit" but thats it. I wanted a late summer EP or single. Oh well.

My first introduction to Oasis was when I was 8 and my brother gave me a tape called "(What's the Story?) Morning Glory". I'm now 23 and no other musicians do it for me lyrically and melodically like the Gallaghers. Liam's voice and Noel's songs. It'll be a sad sad day in my life when we lose one of these men.

Well the first Oasis thing I ever heard was a NGHFB's bootleg. After that I was hooked. Went and got the album. Heard it over and over again, then I did some research and found out he was in a band called Oasis and his brother's group Beady Eye had also just released and album. So I then heard the Beady Eye album, I really liked the rawness and edge of it in contrast to the soft sound of the HFB album. After that I heard Morning Glory but the only songs I really listened to were Wonderwall and DLBIA. Oasis were going to become just any other band of whose hits I listened every now and again but then I watched the Knebworth concert just by chance and I heard Acquiesce, Supersonic and Live Forever so I got interested again. I went back and heard MG and then I really wanted to listen to DM. But I somehow ended up listening to Heathen Chemistry which I absolutely loved the first time I heard it. After that came Don't Believe The Truth which I though was ok and Definitely Maybe which is still tied at no.1 with the next one. Be Here Now had been playing in my house since 97 when it came out(my dad really liked that album) but I never heard it properly. So I dug out the CD and gave it a listen. Absolutely mega...was a great experience. SOTSOG was the one I heard next and I really liked the fact that they had some diverse tunes in them as well. Still is one of my favourites. DOYS was the last album I heard, another one I really enjoyed. I even like the second half though people keep bashing it. After that came all the singles and b-sides, rare tracks, demos and of course bootlegs. It's been a great experience actually discovering all this music. I discovered so many groups as well because of Oasis. So really my whole musical taste has changed a lot ever since I got into Oasis.

Have you heard all the b-sides yet? At first i had the discography in a folder a cousin of mine copied me years ago, without paying much attention. Until i payed. That's how it all started. Discovering Oasis music is such an amazing journey. A one way road. I remember being at home, being impossible to find the song i was hooked to at the moment (at first i didn't remember the song titles), because while exploring the playlist song by song i was like "woow that one also rocks!! let's let it play". And It wasn't until 2006 that i got interested in gathering info and stuff from the band on the internet, and found out the singles, the bsides, which was another instant boom to me. I specially remember playing out loud carry us all, nonstop, the entire afternoon. My family thought i was going crazy. Everything was absolutely on my own, none of my friends liked Oasis. It's like a very personal band to me. It's like family. I even picked the guitar for them, being live forever the 1st song i learnt.Nothing was quite the same after that. Sorry for the offtopic thing.

Reading that people have only discovered the Gallaghers in recent times makes me feel old at 29, I was 11 in 1994 when I first heard of Oasis and the rest as they say is history! But I do believe its great that people are still discovering Oasis, Beady Eye and the High Flying Birds, it love that people are as excited as I am by the new material due anytime now
