Didn't know Stent was mixing it either! I liked his work on SOTSOG a lot. Stent mixed Heathen Chemistry as well. Make of that what you will.

I think for that album Noel gave orders for a more stripped back feel. I remember him saying at the time he wanted a "Stooges" feel. I think Beady Eye will be more in vein with SOTSOG production over HC. We shall see though.

Didn't Noel produce those sessions himself? I think Stent only mixed it. I would have liked to have seen SOTSOG production with better song material. Hopefully that is what Beady Eye delivers for us.

Well yeah, but Stent is only (allegedly) mixing this album, Sitek did the producing, just as Oasis (Noel) did on HC. I'd imagine it's better to mix an album if you've also produced it, as Stent did on SOTSOG.

One thing is for sure, Sitek was in New York when Liam and the boys were supposedly mixing the album so he didn't do it. The Stent news I bet is true. He was over there during the "mixing" stages. He even re-tweeted news about him mixing the new Beady Eye album. Chances that he actually is mixing it 95-99%.
