Ok so first off I genuinely enjoyed beady eye's first album I have no idea why they coped it, its better than 99% of the shit that comes out nowa days...
With that being said, if they do a repeat of it I feel like they may loose alot of fans and it wont go down well if they produce another criticized album, people will be saying they should quit, get noel back ect ect... its really make or break for beady eye i think.
I love Liam and I pray they produce an album that blows the critics away.
What do you guys think?

I think it's make or break in the sense of Liam's ego that's about it ,,,if the album isn't well received he will definatly feel the heat by fans and critics that he can't cut commercially without Noel..so in that aspect yes it's make or break ,,,but in reality not really ,,oasis will always be talked about and his popularity as a celebrity is intact as well as his fortune ,but from a ego standpoint and pride standpoint yeah it's vital he has success sans Noel.......ill give you a perfect example the Chicago bulls who won 6 titles in 8 years are not considered the best team in nba history because when Michael Jordan sat out 2 years the bull couldn't even reach the finals yet alone win a title ,yet he comes back and they win 3 on the trot just like they did before he retired ,so people view the bulls as a legendary team with mike a good team without but not great....same will be said by music people and critics about Liam if it fails ,,great with his bro just good without ,,,I may disagree with that but my opinion means shit to public

I don't think they need to please the critics as much as they need to please the fans. Chances are that, just like Oasis, BDI will never become a critical darling.
They are also 1 great single away from likely selling more. I think the lack of a great single was the one thing on that hurt them the most in terms of attracting fans. Up until the first person has heard the album all things are possible though.
Only retrospect will show how important this album is to his career. It's possible it could just sell roughly the same amount and mean very little. Only a significant increase or decrease in sales will make any sort of difference. If all his albums sell like DGSS I think that they will always have the money to warrant making a new album. The album did sell 400K worldwide or something. The sales are only really disappointing web you look at what they came from and how Noel did. They are still at a level that many bands would kill to be at.
It think as long as it pays he'll continue releasing records though.

i agree, that it should not be important to please the critics, cause people, who just likes albums, the critics enjoyed, are closeminded.
i know it's a bit hard to say but it's a really fucked situation for liam, cause i think it's nearlly impossible to please Oasis fans. I'm an Oasis fan too, but there always will be idiots, who will cry out loud for the good old 90s, where they released WTSMG, which will never come again like this.
Beady Eye made it right i think, they started building up a new fanbase, on Oasis fans and some guys outside the oasis circle, but it's hard, cause times had changend and it's not like in the 90s anymore, where guitar driven pop / rock music was at another peak. So he just should make the album, which i believe will be great, and do not care for all the people who compares the Beady Eye stuff with Oasis.

yeah I agree with everyone, people will always rememeber and compare what beady eye do compared to oasis classics and really how can Liam be expected to live up to those expectations? He cant really... No one ever will...
But also I Doubt he gives a fuck, they obviously are not doing it for financial gain its for the love of the music, positives of being very successful.
But yeah I really hope even if they even just produce a couple of real stand out tunes that get people thinking about them again that would be a big step in the right direction.
and also Liam would be loved until the day he dies and rightly so even if he made 10 terrible albums in a row hed always go down in history as one of the greatest frontmen of all time.

I think it's important for Beady Eye, and, as all of you have said, for Liam's ego and motivation.
However, strictly speaking, you can argue that the most important album of Liam's career was Definitely Maybe, because it sparked all that followed, including Beady Eye.
Of course I'm getting too technical, I know what you mean, but yeah, I think all the people above me have pretty much summed it up.

It's a huge album for Beady Eye in my opinion. If this album doesn't do well I can't see them coming out with a third album myself.
