You know when the crowd's shit when Noel aborts his DLBIA chorus sing-a-long. Meh. Would have liked a HFB song as well, but it is what it is, a bit of charity fluff.
Mmm, just heard Noel on Jo Whiley's show on the iPlayer from earlier saying he was doing 3 songs. So either the show overran and he was left to do one, or the BBC only broadcast one song.

I read on twitter that Jake Bugg played 2 songs? Wish Noel had too then. Then he could have played a HFB tune and closed with DLBIA Not much to say about that preformance. Don't Look Back in Anger always sounds amazing and Noel always sounds great singing it. I don't think I'll ever be able to see that song too many times.  |

Every artist had basically a 5 min slot throughout the whole show.
Obv this was a 1.5 hour highlights show of a 3 hour gig why did you think noel would get a most air time?
Jake bugg songs are shorter thus why he got 2 I'm guessing. (Plus he has got momentum building in the uk)

Every artist had basically a 5 min slot throughout the whole show. Obv this was a 1.5 hour highlights show of a 3 hour gig why did you think noel would get a most air time? Jake bugg songs are shorter thus why he got 2 I'm guessing. (Plus he has got momentum building in the uk) Good point about the length of Jakes songs. Barely got to see him at all. I finally tuned in just as he was finishing up so I don't know how long they were individually And Noel's Noel so of course I would have love him to have had another couple minutes and gotten 2 tracks in. I didn't expect it but I would have liked it. |

Good performance of DLBIA but the whole show was clearly edited.
A couple of the comedians were cut/edited badly & although Russell Brand thanked him at the end (along with all the performers) I didn't see Frankie fuckin Boyle there!!
Will need to wait for someone who was there to confirm but I would have thought it was 3 songs from NGHFB?!

hey noasabian, did Noel say something about the leaked songs at any point of the evening? Yeah well I asked him about the five "recent ones". He said he was happy with two of them (Dying of the Light and Come On Outside), and that the two of them might get a place on the next album. They needed a bit of shaping up lyrically, and he wanted a different pace on TDOTL. I asked him about a second release, and said he was "getting tired of mocking the cat" so he would start up in half a year or so. Conclusion: 3 years of waiting... |

About length: all of the six artists did three songs each, apart from Jake Bugg who only did two. Based on the atmosphere Noel was ckearly the highlight of the evening. Kasabian and Jake were brilliant as well. Of the comedians Jimmy Carr was dead funny and kudos to John Bishop for calling Brand a cock Frankie Boyle and his "tets" rants were priceless Jessie J a shame tho... |

Obviously both songs are the stronger ones, that would be mega to get them in the next album with re-shaped lyrics and arrangements... |
