Wow, nice! Very different tune, it's great to see Noel getting out of his vocal confort zone... reminds me a lot of LDSMD, but I really enjoy it, wouldn't mind seeing this reworked as an a-side!
Oh and million tks for the good soul who posted this!

I quite like it, there's more joy in it than a lot of the stuff on HFB's.

Reminds me of a mix of LDSM and Dream On. Think it's a cracking tune myself. Can just imagine Liam singing this.

Might be the hyper excitment by I wouldnt might having this instead of Dream On...
And yes, this would be pure rock in Liam's voice.

I like it, as said it's probably not album material, but it's fun and would make a good b-side. I prefer Oh Lord though.

Love it, but then I'm a huge Dylan fan so I would.

I absolutely love it. Just proves why Noel is THE Godlike Genius.

Is it just me who's missing the melodic quality? - Neither this demo nor Oh Toad has any redeeming melody.

Is it just me who's missing the melodic quality? - Neither this demo nor Oh Toad has any redeeming melody. You're a great guy NL4E, but your music tastes are quite narrow. Obviously big soaring melodies are what Noel is known for, and I personally love them as much as the next guy, (hence why I'm such a big Oasis fan), but not every Noel song has to have them. Even though this is a complete stylistic ripoff, it's nice seeing Noel try something different (for him) with song structure, and writing a couple songs without defined choruses. There's a reason why this didn't hit the album, and I wouldn't be surprised if this and Oh Lord were just fun throwaway tracks Noel recorded for himself. Let Noel live out his secret dream of pretending to be Bob Dylan in peace.

There is something good in this song: Noel is doing something different with his voice and melody, sadly the experiment has a short reach, it is a copy of its own songs. He´s been trapped in this pounding drum pattern for a long time (lyla, ldsmd, dream on, jfsb, sotwb).

Geez give the guy a break, they're after all rejected songs. And once you listen to them with that in mind they don't seem so bad.

I agree, but as people have said already they're rejected songs so he get's away with it but I get the feeling sometimes that NG could release a cover of a Spice Girls' song and some people on here would still kiss his arse but they're entitled to I spose. Both songs are shite and I hope they stay unreleased.

I feel like with everything Bruno writes I'm being told off by Noel in the picture.

Also, anyone know the sauce of that sample at the end? I've been wondering what that was for years!

It's a shame Noel can't play piano.

This is definitely going to take a few listens to fully wrap my head around. Dylan all over this. It certainly is different.

Ok, so I havent posted on this board, or other boards, for about three years. I use to be active on a bunch of oasis forums in the early 2000s (sounds odd that). Anyways, I started reading online that Noel demos were being leaked, so I thought I'd take a look at the forum to see what's up. first thanks to Joaquim for sharing this, I am always grateful of people who share this, it is the only way we can have access to these rare tracks. The song sounds great, it's rather raw. Also interesting to see Noel try something different. It is by no standard a classic Noel track but it good that he mixes things up. Like most of you though of Dylan right away when I heard it.
Anyways, hope we can evetually hear the other tracks. Hope to be posting a lot more round here.
Best.

After a couple listens, it's pretty easy to imagine that this would be a fun stomper of a song to play live, if Noel ever chooses to do so.

It's roughly 8 times as good as Dream On.

We've gotten two new Noel tunes in a weeks time. I just wonder how many other songs he tracked? Maybe more will surface? That would be brilliant.
