The Noel Glastonbury rumour got me thinking about BDI.
They actually are going to have a album out for the festival season.
What festivals do you want them to play this time around?
And where do you think they'll be on the bill?
Last year they were pretty much universally second from the top. Pretty much where Noel was despite Noel's album being double platinum at this time of year as Festivals were arranging lineups.
Most of those decisions and contract would likely have been signed based on speculation of BDI's success before album would have had time to really show how it was going to do. DGSS, I think, under preformed to people expectations generally and they don't have the hype of being Liam Gallagher's new band anymore. They even kind of fizzled a bit on the live front towards the end.
Do you think they'll be farther down on the bill? Do you think the Oasis songs will enable them to stay at the same level? Do you think they'd actually be able to headline anything with interest brought by the fact that they will be playing a few iconic Oasis tunes? (judging by their selection in Japan and with the Stone Roses)

I reckon a main stage Leeds/Reading slot would be good. Before the headliners maybe

It all depends on how well the album performs. I'd say they'll stay at the sub to headliner on a main stage or headliner of a secondary stage, basically where they were last time. I'll be shocked if they headline any major festivals. Maybe it's time for them to hit some of the smaller festivals if their new one really is experimental?

They'll probably have the lineup decided by the time the album drops I'd think.
First single planned for April so the album won't even be out until May at the earliest.

I was thinking more next year since we don't really have a solid time table on when everything will be released. Either way, I don't see them changing positions.

I think they'll be on just before the Headliner like they did first time round.

I think they'll be on just before the Headliner like they did first time round. I agree. I don't think organizers will feel Beady Eye will be able to draw the crowds even if the album does do relatively well.
