I'm really excited about the next Beady Eye Album
In a hypothetical situation, let's say that the new Beady Eye Album is truly progressive and unlike anything Oasis or Beady Eye has ever done. Let's say it does well commercially and gets high praise critically.
When it comes time for their third album, would they determine their new style is the style that would define the band, or would they go back to their roots? It would seem obvious that they would stay with what worked, but it would also be hilarious if they became the epitome of music that is a head of the curve. Hard to picture.

I think it's interesting that they've accepted the valid criticism of their debut album and are talking about moving in a fresh direction.

If they were just going to churn out the same old same old, I think that would've brought upon the end of my twenty year love affair with (and addiction to) all things Gallagher.

They'll make their own "Kid A" proceeded by a cover album of Philip Glass, Alice Coltrane, Glenn Branca, Steve Reich and other experimental artists.

If this album is a success, then pigs will be flying. There, I said it.

This thread is like asking a bunch of Republicans what they think Obama's second term will be like.

I think if the album is a success, it's safe to say they will want to continue building on that and Sitek would be chosen to produce the third album.

If albums is a success: forget about Oasis reunion in 2015 or ever... Noel's next album and tour will flow into that 2015 reunion hype machine. I don't see it happening. Noel will be too busy.

i think the only way Oasis will ever get back together in anyway is if BDI(Liam) are successful. until then Noel will hold his own success over Liam's head and Liam will look desperate if he entertains/mentions the idea of wanting to get back together.
God bless.

Hate to say it but anyone who thinks Beady Eye's second album will be a big seller is deluded, no matter how good it is.
It might go to No 1 on a quiet week but it won't sell more than DGSS.
The public don't buy albums en mass anymore and just aren't digging guitar bands - especially ones whose members are over 40.
Noel did the business because he had the respect beforehand and is a one-off. Though we all love him, the general public opinion of Liam is 'dick'.
Doesn't matter anyway, Oasis will be back in 2015. Beady Eye are a stop gap - this album is a stop gap.

^is the correct answer.
I think this is the last Beady Eye album because the audience just isn't there. For me, it'll be Liam Gallagher singing at least 10 songs, so I'll buy it and play it to death. The public don't care. At all.

i hope it isn't the last Beady Eye Album. why should it be? do y'all think, that they quit, because it won't be a success, or they just want to be Oasis again?
look at bands like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, they haven't sold that many albums either, but did they stop touring or making new records? No! Because they love music and when i'm looking at the passion Liam puts into his projects, than i think, that the music is important to him, not the success.

BRMC have never had what Liam had before, and they don't have a successful clothing range. He was always able to shrug off the media jibes while he was selling millions, but will he continue to take it when he's scraping pennies he really doesn't need?

He was always able to shrug off the media jibes while he was selling millions, but will he continue to take it when he's scraping pennies he really doesn't need? Agreed. Liam Gallagher is a rock star. They all want to be #1. They all want to be on top. To be in a band that isn't making any big waves....anywhere....after being in Oasis has impacted Liam for sure. I hope the new album is great and Beady Eye earn back some success so Liam looks less foolish with many of his statements.

Agree completely, BRMC were always outcasts, Liam has been the number one frontman for 15 years, and he can't not be just some other frontman in some band. BDI will cease to exist if that album isn't a success. Plus he wants to be beat his brother's success more than anything else. That's two competitions to win.

the problem is, if a band gets famous, the stress of making something, that pleases the people again is coming. they would have more freedom if they would become outcasts. i know it would be great to see liam at the top of the charts again, but in my opinion i would love them in a free way, where they could do what they want, without the stress of being ex-Oasis etc etc. in their back

God bless. As crazy as that sounds, I partly agree. It's much easier to forgive when both parties are in a position too.
