Am I the only one not really impressed with Scorpio Rising? It sounds like Pictures of Matchstick Men. I agree with matt, I'm hoping for more of an atmospheric sound. Huh, wow. You're right. Oh well, still a great tune.

I don't think every band who has to take a 'new direction' necessarily has to go down the electronic route. Ever since U2 did it, every other band seems to think that a 'reinvention' is this. But yes, I would much prefer ambiance to electro personally.

Can I be brutally honest here? If the album isn't titled LOMAB, I'm going to be so dissapointed. Seriously. It's a great title because it fits Liam's personality perfectly.

I can just imagine in years to come when there are documentaries looking back at Oasis's career... Narrator: "The group found worldwide fame with classic albums such as Definitely Maybe, What's The Story Morning Glory and B-sides compilation The Masterplan. After the brothers' acrimonious split, singer Liam Gallagher disappeared from public view after the release of his spin-off band's disastrous second album Lay Off My Avocado, Baby..." It sounds like something from Spinal Tap.

Remember, Liam thought Spinal Tap was a real band.

Tame Impala (think Soltitude is Bliss). From Liam's comments about it being rock and roll, heavy and out there, I've also pictured it something like Tame Impala. That would be amazing, as you say something like Solitude is Bliss and Alter Ego for the heavier songs and production close to Apocalypse Dreams for the mid-tempo, slower ones. It could be great, but it's a bit of wishful thinking. If they were to go down the atmospheric route, I'd love if they experimented with shoegaze, I think Andy should push them more towards this direction, modern nu-gaze with electronic tinges sounds awesome, and it could fit Liam's voice pretty well. That, or go into full Madchester vibe. 80s sounds are coming back and I think an album inspired by the Happy Mondays and the Stone Roses could not only sound great, but also have some impact in the mainstream audience.

I'd be interested in hearing a Beady Eye tune produced and mixed by Kevin Parker and David Fridmann.

Oi, we'll lay off the Kasabian-bashing, thank you... I'm not afraid to start up a third camp in the wars on this forum
