You'd hope Noel would put the potential benefits for the charity before any personal gripes. Pretty sure the Kasabian show is sold out, so it wouldn't matter either way. The teenage cancer trust normally runs for at least a week sometimes just over a week so we should expect another act to be announced for at least the Monday. Also the line up / tickets were announced / released much earlier than usual this year. I could see beady eye being added to the lineup once their marketing kicks in a little. Possibly mid to end of February. |

Its a fan forum mate. People here are getting excited for new music. Sure some people aren't and we know who those are but there is a group who come here to piss on people's fire and consistently try and get a rise out of members. I rarely post in the Noel section anymore unless I have something good to say, why? Because the people there are fans, they want to share there excitement for all things Noel. People know my opinion of him on here so there is no reason to repeat it. In the same way that I don't go to a Guns n Roses fan forum to say that I don't like Axl Rose. I like BDI. I have every right to be here. You don't even like Noel so of course you wouldn't go there. And so beg to differ that you are always nice about Noel over there. And I haven't said anything negative about BDI in this thread. You just think anyone that doesn't think that isn't up Liam's ass personally and think he is a great guy isn't a BDI fan. Reading through pages of pointless bickering is so frustrating and it seems to be going on in every fucking thread. So now PLEASE if anybody can't comment on a particular topic without making a personal jibe at another member please for the sanity of the rest of us refrain from doing so.
Getting back on topic.....After reading Liam's interview in Q all I'm scared about is that they don't get too involved in this psychedelic thing that they compromise the music.

I don't get the impression from what we've seen that it is all psychedelic more that there is a greater range of instruments and influences. I agree though, the sounds shouldn't compromise the integrity of the songs. |

Jimi Hendrix was referenced in the Q article, he's the definition of great psychelic music. two of my favorite songs are 1983 and Moon, Turn the Tides...Gently Gently Away by him, great psychelic music. hopefully BDI do something along those lines, although no one has/can really do it as well as Hendrix. i really hope that they get psychedelic, but not in that mellow way, i would love them to make something harder and guitar fuzz heavier like bands like "darker my love" or "the black angels" do.
hope we really hear some fat guitar stuff, because live it would be just great!

To me, the important thing about this news is to know the direction the band plans to take in regards to this album, and it's very exciting. I love the way they're working and what they're hoping to achieve. I like that they're 'experimenting' and trying to find a new sound, their own. The fact that Sitek has been given a chance for creative input is also great news, we can have some sounds that we didn't get with Oasis and I for one, always wished for.
It's like when you read a movie review before going to the movies. You don't expect to form your opinion whether the movie is good or bad, you see what they say about the movie and you decide whether you want to see it or not.
Well, the news so far have gotten me VERY excited for the album. Go Beady Eye!

Reading up on this, I can't wait to hear the results. Beady Eye are doing the best thing possible by trying something new - something which I thought would never happen. I love Noel's album, but it would be a delightful shock if Beady Eye really threw a curveball to everyone.
