listening/watching live beady eye concerts, his bass tone is immense. he's rock solid, and adds a lot of power to their live sound that doesn't necessarily exist on the album.
his bass sound reminds me of entwistle (from the who), in that it's deep, throaty, and punchy, and occupies a lot of sonic space. his playing is closer to mccartney though. great addition to the band, too bad i don't think he'll be on the next album.

Is jeff recording the album with the rest of BDI? I've seen on his twitter that he's poster a pic of a recording studio like Sitek did and he tweeted "yeh I'm in too" around the time BDI announced Sitek as the producer

He better be on the album and not just playing bass.

love his tone, especially on the live versions of beatles and stones where the bass takes over

Allright, Jeff Wooten on the album!
Really looking forward to this album. For some reason I'm more excited for the Beady Eye records than the Noel Gallagher one, because I know more or less what to expect from Noel (which is brilliancy)
I really hope they'll surprise us and exceed expectations (again, because imho they really did just that with their first album)

Without question the most uninspired looking man in the history of music.
He always looks like he was forced to euthanize a dog prior to every concert. Face like a slapped arse.

you've been on fire lately, fucker. aloha. If by on fire you mean boring and predictable then you've got it pretty much spot on. Here he is.. Hello Tom, Thomas, Tommy, Tommee Tippee.. Now I have payed this forum a few visits this week, first few times in months. All with one goal, one mission, one objective, one aim, and that is to state facts. And i have, rather elegantly, done so. Now, one two separate occasions, you have shot venom at me.. I dont know why but you have seemingly declared war against me with putdowns and already, its boring me Tommee. Now im sure you have an arsenal of witty comebacks and quips to do battle with, but I am not going to fight you Tommee. You see I am here simply ro be the voice of reason, not a keyboard warrior. So, Tommee, you can drop your bombs of acromony and shot your bulletts of vile nastiness at me all you like, but I will not be resorting to your brand of bickering. Im classier than that. See you later, Tommee Tippee

Writing smug, pretentious posts you are confusing for class doesn't change this.

So riddler said that Jeff is on the album, I'll assme it to be true as Jeff hinted to it as well.
I wonder if that means he's joined the band, or if he's playing on a few tracks as a session musician?
Trying to read into it, Beady Eye don't need another guitar player/bass player in the studio, just live? I'm wondering if they felt he's a more highly skilled guitar player or bass player and would be an improvement on some tracks.
I wonder if he would be allowed to have any influence on the album. I've followed his twitter, he seems to be very into experimentation. I'm wondering if he was included because he also is an 'experimenter' just like Sitek.
So since they didn't really need him to record the record. I wonder why they wanted him to be on it. There must be a good reason related to the sound they were going for.

I don't think they'll include him as part of Beady Eye but they might have him in the studio nonetheless.

I wonder why if they are willing to pay him for that, they must feel he offers them something they didn't have with just Gem and Andy as the guitar/bass players in the studio.

Neither Oasis or BDI were particularly inventive about bass lines. Hopefully with Jeff and the producer they'll be more interesting.
