Finally they realised they need a producer who can actually help them evolve their songs and not just make them sound like the 60s.

If you read the article you would have seen it appears to be there manager who suggested the producer.
Nothing wrong with 60's if its good. Not much is original these days anyway not that it matters.

What specifically does "tracked" mean? Recorded? Demoed? Listed them down on a piece of paper from 1-21? Thanks. Assuming those 21 songs are completely tracked then that means they're fully recorded. Although that still means they're a long way off from being released. tracking is probably the fastest part of recording an album. Its the mixing that takes so much time.

there last album was well received critically but unfortunately although regarded as one the great singers of all time liam is also not seen as a very positive celebrity!so for them to sell shedloads of records depends on the general public changing there opinion of him, liams a top guy but the main public dont always see this!!this album could be like the white album and still not sell loads ,noel is seen as a spokesman for english music and much more celebrity friendly so he was pushed to the limit with his album and people gave it a chance and it paid off,to me its the best album in along time by anybody..beady eyes album sold around 500 000 copies which isnt bad at all.this album will sell more though i reckon and i do believe they may crack some major markets if the album is as good as people are saying from the inside

Nice to hear that it will be out in the first half of 2013. Other than that that's all I take from this interview.

This is pretty much the best news possible. Only thing that concerns me is that "radically different" by the Gallagher's standards usually means a tiny bit of sitar somewhere on one song. And this guy (from what I gather) basically works for the band so of course he's going to talk it up. Still more excited than I was for this though

Nice to hear that it will be out in the first half of 2013. Other than that that's all I take from this interview. Although, to be fair, it's worth noting the manager said that stuff, not Liam himself. He's probably still exaggerating, of course, and the album will never ever be better than DM, MG or even BHN - but unlike Liam, I doubt a manager would say things like this about an average album. It's definitely good news. As is a possible release date next spring - a single in January/February would be nice.

If a manager is asked what he thinks of one of his client's upcoming albums, he's kind of suppose to talk it up. His job is to put his client in the best light and the best chance to succeed. He's not going to say, "Yeah, BDI. They've got an average album. Normally I would talk it up, but it's only average." No. He's going to say that BDI's been hard at work, that they're going to turn a few heads, and hey, they even have this one song. That's what I would expect anyone who is paid to represent the band say. The only thing that excites me is the timeline. The rest of the details are white noise for me.

Never really heard much from there management before though. Not saying it is good, he might have not have the same taste in music as many of us. The easiest thing is also to say little if you are not convinced. But yeah the only interesting things for me were to hear they've got a load of songs recorded and his comments about the producer.

Nice to read! Getting more excited for the next BDI album now. Although of course taken with a pinch of salt since it's someone with a financial interest and essentially someone paid to big them up. But it can't hurt that they are the act the company is most excited about! And now we have a timeframe. With 21 songs we might be getting 2 b-sides/single or an EP late next year when the album has died down.

This is new management so that doesn't mean much. But sounds like the question wasn't about BDI. He was asked what they were excited from their roster and he highlighted BDI. If he didn't think it were worth of praise he quite easily could have picked a project by another client. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are working on or have finished a new album due out in spring. Arcade Fire are working on a new album due out sometime next year. They are both clients. He could have chosen to hype either of those instead.

They are the real deal. Now that is an upcoming album I want details on. For starters, is James Murphy producing it? I sure hope so.
