True true but you and I both know that deep down Liam would terminate Beady Eye tomorrow if Noel wanted to rejoin Oasis, make albums and tour. All this just supports me stating that no way Oasis split up to make more money as two acts. Oasis was Liam's life. You are making an assumption that is frankly unlikely. If it was a tour and considering Noel thinks of the last incarnation of the band as 'Oasis' under what pressure would they be to 'terminate' Beady Eye, a band that includes 4 of 5 Oasis members? Liam even said they would go back to there respective projects after any tour. I agree with you, it was nothing to do with money. Liam loves Oasis and rightly so, I don't think its a terrible that he does want to go out there and sing those songs again and I don't think it should be used as a stick to beat him with as its clear that he has been fully committed to Beady Eye. I've never doubted Liam's commitment to Beady Eye. I'm rooting for their continued success in the next year and album. I don't feel Oasis has anything left to accomplish if they ever reformed down the line anyway. However, deep down I have a hunch Liam would much prefer he was in Oasis and not Beady Eye. I could be wrong.  |

You know that old adage, "What's your favorite Beatles song?"- "The last one I heard". ? I think Liam is perfectly happy in Beady Eye. I'm ready for the new record. I think it's gonna be fantastic. Let's not forget the backing band and the fact that Beady Eye is more than Liam.

It's not all about making money I agree I never said it was if you actually read. I only made the point in relation to the statement that Oasis split for financial gain. In fact my basic point was that there is no way that they just did this for the money. It's a basic fact that LAG aren't making as much money. And if Noel is it's probably a shock to him as much as anyone. It's definitely not all about the money...or they would have stayed together. I wonder how many formerly active posters (like me) on this forum have either dramatically reduced their visits or left altogether nearly solely because of your existence and painfully morbid textual diarrhea. Every time I stop back I'm reminded immediately why I left. |

The sound on the first album was pretty much a joke. If you make music in 2012 and it sounds older than Beatles then you obviously have a big problem.

On a side note.....The L4E Awards may have to be postponed  There just aren't enough complete ballots. I've only received 7 complete ballots, and the other 5 that I have are less than half way filled out. I know there are more than 12 regulars who can fill out ballots. There 15-25 regulars who visit regularly enough to fill out ballots. I'm extending voting one for more time. This time for the next 72 hours. If I can't get the ballots to extend them, they may have to be cancelled. |

I think we might be close to the album/first single announcement. I think we'll be having those news this month. It's also hopeful thinking ;D

As far as I'm concerned, no news is good news. Whenever these guys start talking about an album its always the same load of BS really. But I tend to agree that an announcement should be coming in the next few weeks to set up an early summer release.

I can't wait really - this'll be the first oasis related release I've been onboard with from the beginning. I came in with noel just before the album came out, and have been avidly collecting Oasis, noel and beady Eye since. Hopefully I'll actually be able to get all the Beady Eye 7"'s this time around - the first 2 are so expensive!
