God bless. first of all. differnet gear, still speeding, didn't suck, just because you think it sucked. i really enjoyed the tunes. not missing the "deep" lyrics of noel. just liked that light hearted, fresh sound. the producer steve lillywhite didn't suck too, cause he made a great job, but he was just not the right choice, for becoming something different than oasis, what Beady Eye wanted. |

God bless. tom, we all know your rap. and no, i don't think HFB is all that great, i've actually never really gave an opinion of HFB's. it is what it is, an album from a past their prime great songwriter. why does everything have to be a BDI vs. HFB argument? also, another category besides sanity, intelligence and age factoring into opinion is people that like to like things to be different when did the entire fucking world go crazy? DGSS was pretty good, actually. Patched together, a little bit more filler than one could wish for, ok, but the standout tracks I really enjoy up until today. The problem I think was that they rushed to the studio, carrying leftover tracks from Oasis (in some cases around ten years old) and didn't take a moment to think about consistency, both from songwriting quality and overall sound for the album. They wanted to sound retro and they did, and hired a producer that made this possible. I bet Liam wanted to sound like Lennon, although that ended making his voice a bit too whiny and tinny.
It's still very early to make predictions about the new album, but one can speculate. The only hint we have so far is the producer, and that is a sign that they're going towards a different/more modern sound. That has to be proven with the final product, but it's a sign. If they hired Owen Morris, I don't think that would be a good sign.
The bottom line is, we'll have to wait and see, but just like when you travel, the road is a great part of the fun, and right now the trip to album #2 has just started, it's good to have expectations, as long as they're not too wild.

God bless. no it is'nt my first language, so excuse my cryptic writing style, cause some stuff is just hard to translate. Don't worry my low standards make my life not too difficult. Maybe thats really the secret behind it all, as, i think it was tom asked, what are the reasons, why think that the album is just shit? Cause i really don't understand some arguments about lyrics, when John Lennon wrote tunes like "everybody's got something to hide, except for me and my monkey", where the lyrics are everything, but the meaning of life or a slogan for a underclass youth. |

In the Bubble With A Bullet is probably my favorite BDI song but it's not even on the album. i like the drum parts on Wigman. Yellowtail's something i think should've been developed for the album. pretty much everything else does nothing for me. God bless. |
