A band who were actually pretty danm good from Word Gets Around(their masterpiece) to Performance and Cocktails after that Kelly Jones started to act a prat and sadly ran out of things to say although Maybe Tommorow and Dakota are great songs. Bit harsh. The last two albums are a bit crap but I think all the previous albums are solid efforts.

Bit harsh. The last two albums are a bit crap but I think all the previous albums are solid efforts. Maybe but its sadly true though imo. Jones strongest point was his lyrics about working class life but hearing the awfulness of Mr. Writer (Rich Rock stars moaning about Critics ain't smart) really started the slope down creatively although Just Enough Education to Perform was their biggest selling album thanks to the cover of The Office theme and been more pop friendly (Have a Nice Day) . The star of the Band was Stuart Cable sadly passed once they lost him they lost their personailty. Plus Kelly Jones was never cool and pretending to be a big rock star did not suit him (Check out those videos for Dakota and Superman, cheesy). First two albums are belters after that for me they lost their way.

Mr. Writer is one their best choons - what you smoking mate? Ah come on man, awful lyrics that are so self pitying it makes you want to puke. It's no where near their best choon imo probably one of their worst.

You can listen 90 seconds of any song from the new album with iTunes.
We Share the Same Sun, Graffiti on the Train, Catacomb and Been Caught Cheating sounds AWESOME!

But if it gives you a chill then it did its job for ya. I think its a load a gick.

Yesterday they played Indian Summer (good song,i like Stereophonics)at the Italian's show "Quelli che...il calcio" The girl who presents the show (I don't know how say "presentatrice" in English )said that Noel worked with them as a producer or something like that...is it true?

Anyway, it's going to leak at any moment.

First two albums are belters after that for me they lost their way. The same could be said of Noel too though. His best songs were written when he was on the dole living a working class life. I think it's only natural that as a songwriter you peak when you have nothing else to do but write songs. JEEP, YGGTTCB and LSVO are still good albums (comparable to SOTSOG, Hindu Times and DOYS in Oasis's collection).
