It's funny just checked out the happy 10 year thread for forum ( my hiatus year and half ) Saw caro post how it changed her life , most know ( except I guess the newcomers who may not ) lionsden® and her met on here and now are married , It's funny when lions was over my house for the 05 meet he spent hours talking to her on my computer and I honestly thought he was nuts she was in France , he said to me then he was gonna marry her , he had never even met her , but they talked on this and phone every day for hours as I saw that week he was over my place , they eventually met and are married . I could not believe it , couldn't fathom that working , and here like a decade later , the same thing happened to me and @waitingforsally we met on here I found her posts intruiging , we took it to facebook , to messages , to phones, and here we are living together and getting married in November . KARMA MAN ITS FUNNY lionsden® and i were best friends on here , so much so he stayed with me at my place for days after the gig and we had a blast we talked on phone regulary as well , somehow our freindship strained , I don't even remember how it started, our last convo was friendly though and that how i like to remember it. We had a blast in person and on here together and me Tam and him had a blast together both here and in person But who would have thought back in 05 when he and I probably posted more than anyone for that 2 year span that we both would have met our wives, though we both never met them until this forum and if not for this forum we never would have met the 2 people that changed our lives..... Over the years on here some lit majors ( rolling eyes ) would complain about my use of CAPLOCKS and run on sentences , and spelling ,, I always said I didn't care , this place is like a bar for me , it's not a lit class only snobs think that should count on a OASIS forum .....But when I want to I can write with some grammar  as the above shows. It goes to show how music can bring people together from all over the world. Some of us indulge in petty squabbles between the two splinter groups but in the end we're all OASIS fans. That's worth a hundred times what any argument over the two side projects is. Oasis have brought about at least two marriages on this forum alone - the power of music.

He moved to Louisiana and they're married since then. I believe they had a kid or so. For me on the other hand, I thought I would meet a girl via Oasis community when I was young and live forever in bliss, but never worked like that. Sometimes we believe in something so much and want something so much, we make more the wrong impression than the original intent of desire. After all, every human being wants to share love, life, and time with someone.Never know when or how or where, when it happens. Cool stories how Oasis community works at times. |
