And I think Spaneli you are 100% spot on in your argument on understanding the context at work here. Very articulate and poignant. I couldn't have put it better myself. Nothing exists in a vacuum. Your examples certainly show this. Well argued. the danish cartoons had been published months in advance of the murder's and protests, the same with this youtube video, which war is responsible for Theo van Gogh's murder. How come so many involved with 9/11 came from Saudi Arabia a country that has a great relationship with the U.S? Just because extremists use US foreign policy as propaganda doesn't mean that it is that to which you should lay the blame, i would have thought if they didn't like the war in Afghanistan they would all move their and join in a resistance but that doesn't happen instead they kill people unrelated to the policy decisions. They sure believe in a sick God if they think it approves of their actions.

And most people who were upset by the video most certainly were. They were upset but they didn't go and burn buildings down or shoot anybody. That is a fringe, orthodox/conservative group that is presented as the majority because a)it makes a better story and b)we all know the media present what they chose to present. Who has benn presenting the exremists as the majority? Do you think the media should cover the murder of diplomats? Please remember. Judging all muslims by the actions of these extremists is like judging christians by the actions of the Klu Klux Klan. Again who is judging all muslims by the action of the extremists? Islam is evil but that doesn't mean muslims are.

i know full well that the rioters are not the majority of muslims. however, muslim extremists take over the conversation with their acts of vandalism and terrorism while the normal people stay home.
at the same time, when muslim nations in the united nations try to force anti-blasphemy laws into effect worldwide, you know there's a problem.
