How come Beady Eye have never done an acoustic set for a radio or something? Just thought about this today, as they have a lot of songs that would be perfect for an acoustic performance (For anyone, TBGO, The Roller, even BTL...and certainly WOMR)
Is it that they've never been asked?
Or that they've chosen not to do them?
Either way, I hope they do much more of these next time around. Noel's done quite a few and it's really made me notice.

I bet its because of Liam, he stated back when he was in Oasis that he didn't like singing acoustically. He said something like, "we sound like a folk band when we play acoustically". I think its probably because he's stubborn, and doesn't really care to sing acoustically.

Liam has done the acoustic thing since saying that, but it's not really their thing anyway. And he gave Noel loads of stick for it - like at Leeds or Reading last year (I forget which one) when someone shouted "where's Noel?" and he replied "Probably sat on a stool in the acoustic tent somewhere." He made those remarks a few times. I've wondered if that's contributed to Noel standing even for the acoustic songs in his set, just to make a point of sorts.

It has nothing to with Liam's voice being exposed. He is actually really good at doing acoustic performances, check I'm Outta Time from the DOYS tour.
I've heard him say he hates doing acoustic performances so that could be a big reason, hopefully they will do an acoustic set for the new album though as I love Liam acoustic sessions.

I was really hoping for some as well. I think Liam would sound really good acoustic.
We heard the difference with Liam under less strain with smaller amps. I can only imagine the further improvement with the lesser strain singing over acoustic.
Or it could even be semi-acoustic a la the STC tour. Then both Andy and Gem could be present.
I love having the different takes on tunes. Sometimes they are really interesting.

Well that pisses me off they would gain a lot more promotion if they did acoustic sets on radios and venues Liam needs some growing up to do

Liam is brilliant acoustically:
He was singing quite bad around this time of the tour so when he sat down and gave a vocal like this it was brilliant, later that night when he sang I'm Outta Time he was shouting it, Liam's so frustrating at times.
His voice is a lot better than it was on the DOYS as well these days so I'd absolutely love an acoustic session this time round.

If Liam was to sing acoustically nowadays, I'd expect him to sound something like this:

I love all the singing experts and music producers on this, if you want beautiful vocals tune into the Voice and X Factor. If not and you want some great tunes with some attitude, listen to the likes of Beady Eye!
