Four Letter Word is as good an opener as any Oasis did after Rock n' Roll Star.

Agreed. FLW is class. Popped DGSS in the other day for the first time in a while (per request from my 3 year old- got her trained well) and it is a monster song. Didn't take the record out until today when I went and bought the xx record. (I was interested to hear it and it was cheap.)

Four Letter Word is as good an opener as any Oasis did after Rock n' Roll Star. the issue isn't the opener, it is everything after that. you can't make the opening track the high point of an album.

Errr...why not? And they don't make it the high point, they put it where it works best on the record which is first up.

Do you guys seriously consider Four Letter Word the highlight of the album?
If thats exactly what people want from Oasis/BDI, no wonder they're disappointed..

After Liam pretty much told people BDI were doing stuff like FLW and the song wasn't even a single (which it should have been), I think it was ok for people to expect more songs of that sound and quality on the album. I love DGSS, but FLW is the best song on there and they should have done more stuff like it.

It's a cracking tune. It's got energy, attitude, pretty good lyrics. Suits Liam's current voice really well. It's what Liam seemed to be promising when they came out with all their quotes about balls-to-the-walls rock 'n' roll.

FLW is easily the best song on the album.

It can't be said enough. Beady Eye need more FLW rockers! Maybe one ballad at all.

..I was honestly not expecting that. I thought The Roller/Wigwam/The Morning Son were easily the favourites.
FLW seemed to me like it could have been anyone, it just happened to be sung by Liam Gallagher and performed by Beady Eye.

The Rolller is a good song but poor lyrics let it down in my opinion, I don't think Wigwam is produced well and The Morning Son drags a bit for my liking. Four Letter Word on the other hand is one of the few well produced songs on DGSS in my opinion, perfect length, guitar solo, great drumming and a fantastic rocking vocal from Liam

Four Letter Word, Three Ring Circus and The Morning Son are my favourites on the record. 3 excellent tracks, and I don't to say what's the best. The others 10 tracks are not bad, but are very poorly produced.

Don't get the 'poorly produced' stuff. If you don't like the production fair enough but I can hear the instruments, vocals and effects loud and clear.

altough i'm big fan of the sixties and love the sound of that decade, i would love if Beady Eye would distance themselve from this decade. i love DGSS but i hope the next album won't be too similar. hope they will try it a bit rawer. if sixties, not that mellow sounding sixties production. a bit rawer or trancey.

Not gonna count Sons of the Stage or Across the Universe as they are covers. That new song they played live I won't count or Yellowtail.
In order
The great Morning Son Wigwam The Roller Four Letter Word (In a Bubble With a Bullet)
The good Millionaire The Beat Goes On Three Ring Circus (World Outside My Room) For Anyone Wind Up Dream (Two of A Kind)
The meh Bring the Light Beatles and Stones
The bad (Man of Misery) Kill For A Dream Standing on the Edge of the Noise

Kill For A Dream and The Beat Goes On are cliche rock tunes with awful lyrics. I hope Beady turn on the page on that nonsense. Andy should stick with FLW-esque material. It'll serve them well.

I think, just like any other "new" bands, their second album will be the tough one for the band. Therefore I'm glad that they're taking more time to work on it.
Bring us some great surprise with quality songs, lads. We're ready for it.
