If they don't rush it gives them a chance to make more good song than to rush to do the album and put filler on it. Also a sonf can be improved, a chorus changed... It can't if you rush to do it. Just because a song is recorded quickly doesn't mean its rushed. I'm not talking about rushing. If the creative process is spontaneous and goes quickly then good things can come out of it. A song can also be made worse by excessive tinkering. True but an entire album of it is hard to do. I'm happy they're taking their time thi time because DGSS wasn't that bad but could have been more thinked, there are a lot of filler on it. When I see A bullet as a bside I think it's too bad, it's a better song than SOTEOTN for example. If they want to take their time and have more good material to offer, with better production, I'm with them. |

Speaking of... Have we gotten any rumors of who is producing the album? No. But I hope they'll change, the only good thing Littlewhite had right is Liam's voice. Sounds really great. Other than that all this 60's sound wasn't what they needed IMO. They need a producer who could translate the rawness of their sound live. Just like early Oasis actually. Problem is Liam and co are too obsessed with the 60's and like that sound when it doesn't fit them. |

They need some DBTT style production, that suited LAG's song perfectly on DBTT. Agree on Lilywhite being good at getting Liam's voice sounding great but the overall sound wasn't amazing. Even if you look past the 60's thing, the production of the instruments was still well below par.
Hope they use less reverb on the vocals this time around too...

I think Liam's voice sounds bad on DGSS. Too much produced, don't sounds natural. Beatles and Stones, For Anyone and Standing on the Edge of the Noise are very boring on the disc, and they're are great live (except For Anyone, worst song I've ever heard from a Gallagher).

Well if the album isn't a disgrace, then it's an improvement already. Don't expect so much, it's only their second album, just like WTSMG was Oasis second album.

I'm rarely on this site but whenever I am and i read through the comments I either skip through Let It Bleeds' comments or read them and get angry because he isn't funny. It would be great if they`d "throw the kitchen sink at it". They don´t have anything to loose.. Rocking songs with strings or trumpets would be great. Liam on fire. But I´m worried that there will be the same amount of midtempo songs cos these are easier to sing for Liam (I know he did a great job on Morning Glory and Wonderwall recently) LIVE. The songs on DGSS suited his voice cos he could sing them (again) in a softer tone/ not in the agressive oasis style. They could mix these rockier ones with the material from dgss for the live setlist..we`ll see. Hope they choose another direction concerning the overall sound. This "oldschool" sound on dgss made it boring in my opinion. I love Kasabian for the odd electronic sound. I don´t want the album to sound mordern, but unique or fresh. btw. what really I missed in a long time on Oasis albums(from SOTSOG till DOYS) is the inclusion of sounds or talk that doesn`t belong into the song in the first place or to the the proper recording of a song (e.g. whistler before C&A, Cough before WW, Radionoise before MG, Waves before CS, the accordion after IGTBF, talk /laughter before HTWA...) For me these little bits contributed to the oasis mk I feeling. After finishing footsteps on BHN, oasis albums were just song after song after song after song and so on. I liked the link between GOYHHL and FD (although I didn´t like GOYHHL  |

I think you misunderstand, mate. You annoy me when I read your comments - something I rarely do (admittedly I have read a few on this thread but that's because I started it). But what I am getting at is does it really entertain you annoying random people on the internet? If it does then fair play to you man and I sincerely hope you have fun and I wish you well, but is it literally just a way to pass time or does it genuinely stimulate you?
