There is an idea of a Robert Leroy Parker; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there. God bless. The Beach Boys are better than The Beatles Pet Sounds is better than the album it inspired Sgt. Peppers. I'm not sure I'd say that as a whole they were better though. |

I'm not sure I'd say that as a whole they were better though.The Beatles' discography is perfect. You could almost argue that they got better with every album. It's mainly a personal preference because I can get more enjoyment out of The Beach Boys. Their discography is flawed and has some of the best and worst songs/albums ever released by anyone. But I think that you can't top Brian Wilson when it comes to writing a perfect pop song. |

The Beach Boys are better than The Beatles The Beach Boys were great, but the Beatles were amazing and IMO a bit more consistent. I prefer Revolver to Pet Sounds, but I prefer Pet Sounds to sgt. Pepper. God Only Knows is one of my most favourite songs ever. |
