so i'm rappelling down Mount Vesuvius when suddenly i slip, and i start to fall. just falling, ahh ahh, i'll never forget the terror. when suddenly i realize "holy shit, haven't you been smoking peyote for six straight days, and couldn't some of this maybe be in your head?"
and it was. i was totally fine. i've never even been to Mount Vesuvius....
God bless.

In a way I admire the level of commitment of some of Oasis fans when they rave about producers. I cannot name one single producer of any of the Oasis/HFB/BE albums, let alone who I would want them to work with next. Not even Noel Gallagher? God Bless

I don't disect every song, every album. The production, the chorus, the drum beat, it's missing a guitar solo, it needs another verse, it repeats the same thing, they should do this and that... Some people forgot how to enjoy music.

You know eva and Manuelx for that matter because you asked her ....... Not only do I not care about who produces but I never once in ,my life look at a album or cd that I bought and read who produced it ! NOT ONCE I had no clue Noel produced oasis or at least was involved until I got on this forum , true story ....and I didn't know jimmy page produced zep , I never once looked or cared , when I bought BEATLE albums the only thing I looked for was if there was. A poster inside like the white album ..never cared if George Martin was involved The only thing on back I cared about was if lyrics were included .. I feel if you got a tune that's good it's good , George Martin is great , but John and Paul wrote the stuff and if he had to work with bay city rollers or the knack I hardly think he would have transformed those one hit wonders into legends , so he can tweak all he wants people here can say as eva alluded to its missing a solo here or a snare drum there or the brass section really made this .......FUCK THAT. To me if the song ain't there the producer don't matter and I know there those out there some are my friends who will say yea but they can mae a good song great Maybe not maybe so , I tend to think strawberry field or kashmir somehow would have sounded great anyways the songs were that good . Edit : Bruno yes I know Harrison and Starr wrote classics too mate

Edit : Bruno yes I know Harrison and Starr wrote classics too mate Seriously though I totally agree with you, Oasis fans do have an unhealthy obsession with the word 'production'. It's all about the music in the end, even George Martin couldn't have done much if the music wasn't there. People here have this serious misconception that production is as important if not more than the music.

People here have this serious misconception that production is as important if not more than the music. Yea Bruno I understand production but like eva said. And you , it really drives me up a wall , and I was not kidding I never new Noel produced i never looked or cared ...sometimes I honestly feel like I need to do homework when I read posts about Sardis brilliance or this ones spin ....fuck that write the song lets have a listen .... All the other shit may make you a A STUDENT in music knowledge and that cool but o me it aint rock and roll way And the defense that production is huge or needed and Martin always brought up is lost on me ....like I said all his brilliance couldn't have saved the knack or bay city rollers , I know I'm being over the top but that's my point ,, yea he added to the the Beatles but if he didnt would there classics still not be classics ? I say they would they had too much talent for those words not to resonate whether the puppet master tweaked . Give you a example when a movie come out on DVD and there like 10 additional minutes or never seen before footage , the movie was not made better cause of it ya know ? Somehow I think the Beatles or zep or oasis would have had those hits and sounded very similiar to what we love whether it had a change here or there cause the tune was solid . Jmo at least I know Eva and u and a few others agree m so for now on when production class starts I do what i did best in school CUT Edit: Lennon2217 I know your thoughts on production and whiile don't totally agree I see your point , your class I won't cut I am referring to the non stop talk of it , so even tho it not be said i was not referring to your opinions here those I get ....it's the non stop dribble about it that gets to me , Eva , Bruno , and others ...

i wasn't like every other kid, you know, who dreams about being an astronaut, i was always more interested in what bark was made out of on a tree.
Richard Gere's a real hero of mine. Sting. Sting would be another person who's a hero. the music he's created over the years, i don't really listen to it, but the fact that he's making it, i respect that.
i care desperately about what i do. do i know what product i'm selling? no. do i know what i'm doing today? no. but i'm here, and i'm gonna give it my best shot....
God bless.

You know I don't mind people who have different opinions on current events , sports , music , politics , I really think that's good and healthy but when I watch shit on TV like this documentary on " current TV ". That's says planes DID NOT HIT THE WORLD TRADE CENTERS. I REALLY WANT TO FUCK THAT GUY UP ..... I will listen to theories on who killed Kennedy's ,, was princess Diana killed ,,,, are ufos real. ,,,Ya know ? I may or may not agree but that's cool that's what this forum is about and life as well .... But when some PISS ANT. tells me no fucking planes bit the trade center. I DRAW MY LINE. I was not on acid and not plastered I saw the American airline plane slam straight into the fucking center with my own two eyes I will listen and not agree that bush blew buildings up ...but if any asshole tries to tell me like that documentary tried to that no planes ever hit towers I say FUCK YOU ASSHOLE. I KNOW WHAT I FUCKING SAW AND TO TELL KIDS DIFFERENT IS FUCKING PATHETIC you wanna believe bush did it i disagree your entitled. But don't tell me what I saw right in front of OF MY FACE MAN !! Sorry for rant but sometimes free speach is fucking pathetic I honestly wish the maker of that film would have had parents or siblings on those planes and then put out trash it didnt exist , or better yet he should be on it so he didnt exist Edit eva mimmihopps I thought this was thoughts , sorry can you please put it in thoughts or there I said it ...my bad

so i jump ship in Hong Kong and i make my way over to Tibet, and i get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas, eva......you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. so, i tell them i'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? the Dalai Lama, himself. twelfth son of the Lama. the flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. so, i'm on the first tee with him. i give him the driver. he hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says, eva? "Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-lagunga." so we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. and i say, "hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." and he says, "oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." so i got that goin' for me, which is nice.... God bless.

I used to live out by the airport, underneath the flight patterns. It was really noisy with the planes going by all day. I used to have cookouts, and no one would come because of the noise. I got used to it. And then, when I moved... I missed the noise. I missed those planes.
God bless.
