If you think about it, Noel isn't far off.
What is a cover band? A group of musicians who live off songs that didn't write, try to imitate another band, and who occasionally write songs that aren't as good as the songs they cover.
Sounds like BDI to me.
Also, at the Olympics, 100% of the songs BDI played were Oasis songs. If that's not a cover band, then I dunno what is.

People need to remember that Noel (in his solo project) can play any of HIS songs that HE wrote. Beady Eye are a "new band" (direct quote from Liam himself) playing songs they didn't write.

Absolutely true. But as discussed ad infinitum, if people only ever played songs that someone physically on stage wrote, then the world would be a far lesser place. Especially if it's the original singer of those songs singing 'em! |
