funny actually. The general consensus is that Liam & Co. nailed it at the Olympics albeit with Wonderwall, never the less its all been positive. Jealousy makes a bitch talk shit. Maybe next time the Olympic committee will ask Noel to come play wonderwall acoustically. just sayin

Think Noels dig at Liam was funny and harmless, look at the amount of times Liams done this.
Anyway i read Noel turned down the chance to perform at the closing ceremony, glad Beady Eye got the slot though, think they did well.

So there's a bit of irony when he's calling BDI an Oasis tribute band when they've played 3 oasis songs for the moment, on the day he's doing basically an entire oasis cover gig for charity. But I have no issue with him playing that much Oasis song, it gives a better bootleg. |

The answer is no, you didn't read my post, you just assume that I would say something like that and jump on the occasion to attack me. When I've always said Noel has every right to play his fucking song, but to play 9 on 11 at a solo gig is a bit much in the context. So to be clear, Noel AND bdi have every right to play oasis song. IMO. |

I found it a bit harsh at first but I think it's pretty funny now and as someone said a while back, they're doing it all on purpose, just for the banter. They've texted each other, now met each other, it's all for fun. And Noel should be doing oasis songs at these charity gigs because that's what people wanna hear, he's not plugging an album at this, it's not for him it's for the charity

I would even be curious of a EOTR accoustic version. |

Of course Noel should play his songs. But the songs Beady Eye have done so far as every bit as much Liam's. The only difference Beady Eye have to HFB is they havent littered the set list with Oasis songs to pull in crowds. They have waited a year to play a couple of songs that only became huge through Liam. So for Noel to come out with what he has is ironic to say the least. Beady Eye piss all over Noel live. I wouldn't go to see Noel again if it wasn't for the oasis songs. If Beady Eye played the first album and second album with no oasis songs next year, i'd still go. |

Yep, both Liam and Noel are completely out of line in their comments to each other. (Send them to the playpen already.) It should have gone more like this:

Would that have made everyone happy?? These two are doing what they do, being themselves. And I wouldn't want it any other way. Liam, call Noel a cock. Noel, call Liam a tribute band. Have at it. It's a good thing. It's what siblings do, especially these two. Because reading between the lines, I don't think they're meaning it the way that a lot of you are taking it.
