It'll be live singing to a pre-recorded backing track. Bands played live at the opening ceremony because there was nothing on in the stadium beforehand. No time to soundcheck before the closing ceremony. Bands don't soundcheck at festivals either but they still perform live. At festivals (and probably here also), everyone's equipment is preset at a certain level so there's no need for soundchecks. |

It's a Olympic Stadium because of the light efect box (or whatever you call it) near Noel, every seat has it.

Yep, that's him... possibly his daughter on the left? But how can he sit there whilst Liam is up there performing? It's nonsense.
He was also pictured at Villa Park today for the City game, likely he went from one to the other.

It was a rehearsal, they were telling the crowd how to react to songs and bits to sing back. They did the same thing at the opening ceremony. It was no BeadyEye or Liam on stage you could see the guy on the screen.
