I just wanna comment on the Daily Telegraph "Out of tune and off key" regarding Liam I mean thats harsh...to me he was fine and hes a rock star not a auto-tune pop fag Where did it say that? I can't find the article. I found this on the telegraph website though: "at times, it simply became a pop concert. Sometimes – when Jessie J and Tinie Tempah were blasting out their hits to a psychedelic backdrop, or Liam Gallagher’s nasal whine led off Wonderwall -it was a very good one, the kind that had everyone in the stadium dancing along."

no but I'm talking about people posting here, so supposed to fans and still complaining. even you have stopped complaining and like the performance and you used to slagg liam off every post. for once let's all agree and be happy. This coming from the person who gets pissed at people who let him give his opinion. It's a forum. If people thought he was nasally or didn't want his doing it, then that's their right. There's no reason to say that someone isn't a true fan because they have a varying opinion. It's that person's right to like or dislike whatever they want. That's part of being a fan. Please stop being a hypocrite. you haven't read the comments before. I said if some people have a problem with Liam Gallagher singing Wonderwall at the olympics, then they're not really fan in response to a guy. Most of the fans have liked the performance I'm happy about it, but if someone have a issue with the simple idea of Liam Gallagher performimg oasis song, especially after beuatifull moment of Oasis history that was yesterday, then he's not a fan to me. Listen, we don't agree on anything, I think you're an arrogant student who lives in his little world, you don't like me either so stop replying to me once and for all.

You can't continually complain about people being "zombies" and you not getting your opinion across and then when someone gives theirs and you disagree with it, you say they're not a fan. You're asking everyone to think the same way and to be happy that Wonderwall was performed and if someone says that they had a problem with Liam performing it then, they're not a fan. You're asking people to be "zombies" and not have an opinion that differs from yours. Yet you feel the need to call other people "zombies" when those people complain about your opinions. You're a hypocrite.

In what world are we living if an Oasis fan isn't happy that Oasis singer sung Oasis biggest hit in front of 75O people ? It's being a little Noel zombies. I've read people on youtube saying the song is awfull without Noel. What difference Noel's presence would have make if he was there ? the 'save me' backing vocals? They don't do the all song.

Yes, you are. When you're saying, "You're not a fan if you don't agree with everyone." Then you've officially asked everyone to agree with you. You can believe what you want, but you've kind of lost the right to complain about "zombies" if you're asking everyone to basically be a zombie. Hypocrite. p.s. if you didn't care, then you wouldn't have said it and you wouldn't be arguing with me right now. Just sayin...

I'm one of Liam's biggest fans but even I could tell he was nervous at the start of the song, it's only natural when you are about to perform in front of millions across the world, as I said though, once he got in to it he sounded fantastic. He was definitely nervous. He seemed extremely tense and not his usual aggressive self. He seemed very tame.

Just watched it again. Liam's performance here is amazing. Makes you really wonder what his problem was back in 2006-2008 with cutting off words.
Also, for what it's worth, he looks young and cool again - something we've been unable to say for years while he sported horrid hairstyles!

Yeah, never mind his vocals, had he showed up with his Dora the Explorer hairstyle he sported a while back, that would've been the end of it. End of BDI. End of Liam. Thank f*ck he look decent yesterday.

Noel would've added another guitar layer, which would have helped it sound more full. It wasn't bad though, especially with the strings. The strings rocked.

They still would only have had 2 guitar parts. I think the electric guitar bits would have been higher in the mix of the backing track.

It would have been exactly the same as yesterday but with Noel on acoustic. I'm not saying Oasis should've reformed. It should've been BDI plus Noel.

I did miss the backing vocals at the end of the song though, where Noel echos the chorus - other than that, it was as faultless a performance as you can get from Liam and the band in 2012.

What I don't get is how hard would it have been for Andy or Gem to sing "because maybe". It's not exactly challenging. I could've done it.

I'll echo the sentiment that it was cool to see(after quite a long time) this forum act and respond in unison to the performance by Liam and co. Us the fans appreciated it, and it was nice reading all the comments on here, Unfortunately we can always count on a couple of retards--even MODERATORS-- to still find a way to be critical(and not in a constructive way) and post about how "Noel is Oasis" and other nonsense like that.
Pathetic but at least we know who we're dealing with, not that we didn't before. It's just that last night it became more evident than ever.

after finally getting the opportunity to watch it, for me the goosebumps was seeing all them Olympians rocking the fuck out during this song. most of them are surely not even fans of BE or Oasis. So to see them having it in the Olympians pit was pretty mega for me. Liam as a responsible frontman is just another massive K+++++++++ for me. Chingon!

no matter how awful you think last night was, it is great to have so many people you know come up to you the next day and say "hey, saw Oasis (what are you gonna do) on tv last night!" it had been a long time since that happened...

Part of me thinks he didn't give a shit, so he sang like shit.
