By the sound of it... it just got played on NBC considering Oasis get a bashing round two on twitter.
Fuck knows how, some "celebrities" seem to be praising Spice Girls as legends but branding Oasis shit? Is this all for real?

That to me sounds better than how it was mixed tonight. Especially with the electric guitars higher in the mix. The mix at the ceremony seemed really quiet and flat, if that's how it sounded to Liam too then it probably affected him...it seemed like quite a tense performance. I still think he did a good job, they all did so fair play to them. And despite a lot of negativity, I'm sure with the volume of people watching this has been great exposure for them ready for album 2. I think you're vastly overrating the exposure. Remember, Beady Eye aren't promoting an album right now, nor will they be anytime soon. It seems as if the next Beady Eye album won't be coming out until next year. Few people are going to remember who performed at the Closing Ceremony 2 weeks from now, much less say 5 months from now. In terms of how this helps getting the word out for the 2nd album or promoting, the effects are minimal at best imo.

Scrap that... quite a few praising them now. Champagne Supernova, DLBIA etc. also trending. Nice to see the yanks know of other Oasis songs though

Either way, Beady Eye are getting some exposure in the states right now... so it can't do any harm.

Positive reviews from Americans. Most of the negative reviews came from mislead Brits.

NBC showed Beady Eye. Liam sounded awfully nasal.

LOL...apparently Noel Gallagher trended in the US when BDI were on the Olympics.
*face palm*
Someone needs to change their last name.
There are SO many people on twitter mixing up Noel with Liam.

Nice to see the yanks know of other Oasis songs though I think Americans are surprised that an Oasis song was performed and it was the one they all knew. I think it's great for the image of Oasis in the states to be talked about positively for the night, but I don't think it's actually exposure for Beady Eye. Next time they release an album, I doubt if anyone will remember that Beady Eye performed. If they do remember, they'll remember that it was an Oasis song that was Wonderwall that was song, not that Beady Eye performed it.

For me personally it was all about them going out in front of a huge audience and giving a decent performance and they did that.

Wonder what the chances are it charts again? Minimal. It would need to be something more with more longevity. It almost re-charted with the Jay-Z controversy, but that's because tabloids were printing that for days, this won't have as much effect in the states.

It sucks that Wonderwall was not included on the soundtrack. It was a nice rendition. Any insight into why it was left off?

But there were also a depressing amount that mentioned Noel in the context of the performance Liam gave.

Wasn't bad. What was bad was the fact that Russel Brand was allowed to do I am the Walrus, and a decision wasn't made to pull Jessie J from the stage before she ever stepped foot on it. They'd have been better off letting the audience sing than her. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Liam play the Olympics, and he seemed to enjoy it as well.
As far as trending on twitter and all that, I don't expect that anyone would gain a fanbase from thier performance at the Olympics, and I could care less if all the morons out there who haven't heard Liam since 96 are now saying he sounded like shit. True fans are going to listen to him now, enjoy the music and go to the shows. Screw the rest, who cares?

Why am I taking such great satisfaction from Muse being cut and Beady Eye being given air time?
