Hey guys I don't if this has been done but I was actually thinking this over...so what songs on Noel Gallaghers amazing solo effort would you Prefer Liam Gallagher to have sung. I know several reviewers have said that Liam's presence was obviously apparent. So what songs would you rather have had Liam sing?
Me personally.. All of them lol.

EOTR DO IIHAG RM SBAJF SOTWB STC
TDOYAM, BA and WAL fit noel Noel perfectly, every other song would have been miles better with Liam. EOTR nad RM could have become huge Oasis anthems. So much regret here....

You could say Everybody's On The Run, If I Had A Gun, Stranded On The Wrong Beach even. But the one huge one if Record Machine.
Record Machine could have been an Oasis anthem. Classic even. Liam's vocals and a great bassline (which is in the demo) would have made something that Oasis lacked post Heathen Chemistry, an out and out anthem. Instead we are left with what is a Noel filler track, and a pretty average and boring one at that.
The main reason it has become this is obviously Noel's voice. It's simply a song written for Liam that he has decided to sing and his voice just isn't up to it. However, the song could have still been an anthem. Noel has managed it before with Little By Little. But where this song and that differ is a great bass (which has been replaced by the awful choir). It literally takes away everything from how the song should sound and it is such a misguided decision by Sardy that it makes you laugh how much Noel rates him.

I agree, liamgallagher1992. They really dropped the ball on Record Machine - the demo has way more punch. When that post solo chorus dropped in, I couldn't help but sing along - that's not the same for the album version. A real shame that.

I honestly enjoyed Noel's vocals and I believe he doesn't get enough credit for how good his singing voice is. Obviousy Liam is a better singer and front man in general but I think Noel is more than capable of singing and there is a lot worse.
But I personally would love to hear Record Machine, Everybodys on the Run, Stranded on the Wrong Beach, and The Death of You and Me.
I do love Noel's vocals on If I had a Gun and Broken Arrow though I do have to say that.

Well, if I could have 1995 Liam sing them then sure. But modern Liam? I don't know if any of them would be improved, to be quite honest.

Mine would be probably more mixed than others, as some songs dont fit with Liam
Everybody's On The Run (Liam - Noel back vox) Dream On (Noel) If I Had A Gun... (Liam) The Death Of You And Me (Noel) (I Wanna Live In A Dream In My) Record Machine (Liam- Noel back vox) AKA...What A Life! (Noel) Soldier Boys And Jesus Freaks (Noel) AKA...Broken Arrow (Noel) (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach (Noel) Stop The Clocks (Liam)
Probably the 3rd best Oasis record. But not that much Liam on Vocals.

Yeah, it would have to be mixed with a good dose of Noel's backing vocals on them. Because there are some notes that I don't think Liam could hit on his own. Well, at least not hit them as well they should be. Which is really the tricky part about wondering what songs would Liam sound good on. Because you have to also imagine them with Noel's backing vocals. It's really a question of how much you can get out of Liam's reduced range.

I'll add SOTWB and DO to that list. To me, DO screams Liam, especially on the chorus. And SOTWB would be so cool with Liam and Noel's back vocals. And Noel doing the "ahahaha" bit on IIAG. such a good album TDOYAM, BA, SBAJF and WAL were made for Noel's voice.

Don't think Liam would fit on any of them songs other than Stop the clocks Agreed. Liam isn't missed on the album, and that isn't a criticism of Liam in the slightest

I dont know about Dream On, Liam could have turned it into a mega stadium tune but Noel subtle vocals make it really special. I dont think Liam could have reach that sarcastic / witty vocals only Noel can do.

Everyone who mentioned SOTWB. That song is too "angry" for Noel. Liam's snarl would is perfect for that. As well as STC, RM, EOTR, IIHAG.

And I think the gap between Noel and Liam's voice is closing. I also think Noel is enjoying singing more these days as well. I would also be interested in Liam coming out and saying just what songs Noel "swiped" from him. Individual songs that is...
