When is BDI's next gig by the way? If i remember right, Liam said they would go in studio and record for the new album after they finished writing. Liam really did his best on Sunday and they sounded almost perfect. Can't wait for their next show...

So I would think there's a new BE album by February or March.

Really? You're thinking that late? If they have all the songs already it takes what? 2 weeks to a month and a half to record. Mixing takes 2-3 weeks (unless you're AA ). Album could be finished in basically 2 months. It's usually a 4 month wait between the time finished of recording and the first single. A month after that for the album. So April maybe May at the latest.

The only reason I could see them waiting is because Liam has said he likes to put the albums out in the summer, so even if its done quickly I could see them sitting on it for a little while.

That's funny you say that. I always thought Liam's vocals on DM were far more rock n roll than on MG, even if his live renditions felt really undercooked. Whether they were really high and airy or just way too raspy to the point where the melodies are gone (vancouver 1995, i'm looking at you). But the vocals on Definitely Maybe always felt really aggressive whereas on Morning Glory, it sounded like he was going for a more proper singing approach to fit with the less aggressive music. That's what was so good about Be Here Now in a sense that it was all loud rock music again.
That link for Morning Glory from a while back...was actually good. I'm used to these threads where people post two comparison videos that feel the same and rave about Liam's improvement...but he's not cutting the words...he's actually stretching them. he's sounding pretty solid. hopefully he can get some power back in his vocals too.

This came on my ipod the other day and I thought wow this might be my favourite Liam vocal.
When did he do the song with Death In Vegas? 2002? Very raspy. Great song.

Am I the only one that remembers how god-awful Liam obviously was at Wembley, 2nd night, 2000? He was drunk, but still....lol

After listening to Fuji 2012 bootleg, Morning Glory especially sounds very strained
like Im not sure how to evaluate his vocal performance anymore, its not out of tune..just completely re-worked I suppose tonally
it amazes me how much his voice has changed..and Im a relatively longtime fan now

Liam should have surgery done to repair his vocal chords...
God bless.

Some people have got the genes to last, some don't. Liam falls into the latter. He had a tremendous run with his live signing voice but it is nowhere near where it was. I continue to admire how people like Eddie Vedder, Thom Yorke, Bono and Michael Stipe have held up as strong as ever 20 plus years later.

Most nights, Liam sounds poor to horrendous. There's a few decent shows with a few "good" (and I use that word unbelievably cautiously) moments.
He's largely sounded terrible, most nights, for over a decade.
the end.
but pick out a clip here or there and compile the 20 minutes however you like and try to convince to the contrary...
whatever helps you sleep at night.
Sincerely,

^ Yeah, because everyone who doesn't think like you must be delusional.
It's all a matter of taste, in the end. If you don't like how Liam has sung in the past decade, it's ok, it's your call, just don't think your opinion is more valuable than anybody else's.
Now let us all who enjoy Liam's vocals even now, be happy.

Comparing Liam to Ian Brown is mental. How so? Now with Liam you just dont know what you'll get I'm not saying he'll sing out of tune but delivery could either be good ,kermit like and biting off words or nasal as fuck Stay safe dont watch Romney and Obama
