Judging by what I've seen on twitter, Beady Eye doesn't seem to be many peoples cuppa tea.
"Beady eye watch: 3 of their own songs barely got applause. Then they do rock'n'roll star.... place goes mental. Then the roller "
This must dishearten Liam n co, not a good reception in their own home town.

They've failed in this country, unfortunately.

I'm guessing you think Noel is a better guitarist? Now THAT is funny it's not about being able to play the fucking lead or being a better guitarist. and now that Andy lame twat Bell is playing Noel's solos. don't tell me it's not wrong. he just shouldn't touch what Noel's done.

Judging by this picture from Twitter Liam seems to have enjoyed it! Can't do them any harm to get out in front of seventy thousand people and bash out a few tunes. Great exposure for the band and a free ticket to the Roses. Attachments:

Even if Kermit Liam showed up tonight he'd still sound absolutely amazing next to this:
shocking. At his very worst Liam has never been this bad.

Oh man...that was painful to watch. Say some funny tweets re: "they should get Liam up to sing instead...then they could finally have a proper singer" I thought it was an exaggeration...but apparently not. Pity really.

No news there, Ian brown has always sounded like shit live, even in the 90's.

Ian Brown has always been a fucking horrible singer. If you're going to a Stone Roses gig and expect him to sound decent, you're going for the wrong reasons. It's probably the same case as Liam a few years back: Sounds fine if you're actually there, but the arm chair analysts at home will pick it apart.

Even on a bad day, Liam sounded way better than Brown. But this part is true, Liam sounded very good on most Oasis gigs I've seen because I managed to see them early on the tour. But one time, I saw them late on the tour and the gig was mental. Then I listened to the bootleg and realised Liam sounded less good than I thought during the gig.

I didn't mean to say that Liam sounds as bad as Ian (who has basically always been horrible at singing), but that they both aren't the best singers in the world and that there are plenty of posts about Liam's deteriorating voice (at least for the past few Oasis tours). I just think it's wrong to judge either based on fan recorded bootlegs and what not. If this was an official release, sure, but from all that I've read Ian sounded better than usual (which still isn't very good, but whatever).

Liam on the other hand was one of the best and still is, even if he's far from what he was. He just has bad days and good days. I love Ian, but he never had much voice at all.

If you look at The Stone Roses setlist, they really struggle to fill it out. Okay the first album is great and that's what they are riding on. But the 2nd album is shit. A fair few songs in their set are shit and when you hear Ian Brown live, it just makes me wonder why so many have got excited over this reunion.
People (rightly or wrongly) bash Oasis material after the first 2 albums but if they'd have done what Oasis had done and stuck together for 7 or 8 albums, their stuff would be awfuly bad. Most of Ian Brown's album songs are just atrocious.
Just makes me laugh when their mentioned in the same breathe as Oasis.
