So my attentions been directed towards Liams wikipedia page, specifically, to the beady eye section, and more specifically, to this little piece right here:
In June 2012 it was confirmed that Johnny Marr would be joining Beady Eye for there forthcoming album and subsequent tour. Johnny Marr will also be involved in writing the new Beady Eye album which will be out later this year.[37]
And yes, its wikipedia, and I haven't found any source or anything anywhere else even coming close to confirming it (nothing on any other wikipedia page as far as I know)
But holy shit how fucking cool would it be if it was true? Figured y'all might be interested, although getting your hopes up is not recommended under any circumstances
(Makes The Smiths and Oasis reunion talks funnier too)

It would be weird that nobody on ere have hear about this. If it was the case, BDI staff would have communicate on it. It's weird they haven't and some guy wrote it on wikipedia.
Don't get your hope too high but it would be so great if it was true.

I'm sure there would have been announcement that we would have heard. It would have been big news on a site like NME that print every Gallagher rumour.
It'd be weird anyways as they already have 2 guitarists. I doubt that they are hiring Johnny Marr and making Andy or Gem go to bass.
A forthcoming album and tour timferame haven't even been confirmed let alone a line up. We only know vaguely that they are working on something.

Well Liam said I think, they would be recording in February and new album in the summer. It would be cool if the holdup was Marr.

It would be absolutely amazing, but I see no chance of it happening.

it would be amazing for sure if true. it seems unlikely but you never know. maybe the comment Ian Brown made to liam (Barcelona was it ?) about 2012 being the the year of comebacks had a meaning we never dreamed of.

I would very much enjoy this to happen. If it does I will get "Marr is God" tattoed on my wrist.

the bass player question is an apt one though - I was harbouring a thought that andy would go back to bass and bonehead would be joing after the barca pics!

Much more potential in Beady Eye, they've shown touches of both brilliance and (absolute) mediocrity on their debut and in their B Sides, but then again, I'd probably listen to a cover of freaking Friday if it had Liam Gallaghers vocals. I just never found Modest Mouse particularly appealing, excluding maybe Ocean Breathes Salty, World at Large and a few others

I was being facetious, Modest Mouse don't need to prove anything as they're already a critically acclaimed band that many people love. Beady Eye, not so much.

It's not happening guys. At the very best, Jonnhy had played guitar on one track in BDI's new album, like he did o HC.

Oh dear lord. Don't do it, Johnny. I don't wannna see you playing "Bring The Light". What if Beady Eye played Smiths tunes? That would be pretty epic...if Liam somehow managed not to fuck up the vocals. Honestly, Noel has a much better chance of collaborating with someone like Marr. Beady Eye are a full band and they have 2 good guitarists (not as good as Marr, of course.

But lets face it, I like Oasis, even most of their later work, which hasn't exactly been critically acclaimed. While bands like Radiohead (always my favorite example) are the opposite, their work does jack shit for me. Same with Modest Mouse, and here's the huge fucking shock, I might actually prefer some of Liam's songs.

If Liam would sing a Smiths song, I would throw my all Oasis records, including bootlegs away.
Even Liam Gallagher, stay away from my men (and my forever guitar hero)

They should get Weller in to duet with Liam or do some backing vocals too, Mimmi would love that!
