My first ever message on here after 3 years of browsing without daring to post anything...anyway what are people's initial thoughts on this bands 3rd effort ? I know they have a lot of critics but from what I have read it seems a lot better effort than their last (Music For The People)

Its on Spotify as far as I know...all typical Enemy tunes, couple of stinkers but not too bad.

I really do like the Enemy and the first album was amazing. 2nd was underrated, but on first listen this is painfully average.

Only gave the first half a listen (never actually listened to any of their albums before), didn't really strike me as genius, or even great/good at any given point.
Maybe I wasn't listening hard enough or maybe its a grower, but to me at the moment it seems like a lot of mediocrity in indie rock form.

just listenin on spotify for free, in full, not bad quality either really. its better than there last one thats for sure. nearly every track on the last one was a rip off of something. theres some good tunes on here, but nothing that stands out and blows me away.

A terrible band will always be a terrible band, and this new album is the same old derivative loutish pub rock. I genuinely can't see any saving grace to them - awful singer, awful lyrics, awful melodies and dull as dishwater music.
In my opinion, no talent to them whatsoever. I just can't understand why such mediocre indie bands are hyped up - most guilty of this is the NME which specialises in such mediocre crap.

Don't forget that they didn't even write their three biggest singles.

Big fan of like a dancer. Think this is a much more solid album than the second. Don't ever see them growing as a band or achieving mass appeal.

This Is Real, 2 Kids and Like A Dancer are my favourites so far.
Not as good as the 1st album, but better than the 2nd.

Like, at least they aren't entirely responsible for such mediocre music.
