NOEL GALLAGHER is planning two years off when he finishes touring with his High Flying Birds, on his wife’s orders. The musician said that wife Sara wants him to have time at home to be with their children after what will have been a year on the road.
Noel also revealed that he has softened his war with brother Liam. The pair now communicate through their peacemaker mum Peggy and Noel is back on speaking terms with ex-Oasis bandmate Gem Archer.
Noel, 44, said: “It’s a happy camp at the moment because the record has been really well received. It is selling like hot cakes in England.“We can’t get rid of them fast enough. I did not expect it.
“I’m going to tour the a*** out of it until the wheels fall off. Then I’m going to indulge my wife for a year or two.” The band will be at this summer’s festivals across Europe before Noel’s break.

Think he's entitled to have a break. Seen him 3 times so far and still to see him twice this summer, think I need a break!

As long as he turns out some new tunes during this break, I don't mind. I really enjoyed seeing him live last year, but considering he has only changed one or two songs on the setlist I don't really think it's worth the price. Of course, a 2015 Oasis reunion would be the best.

I think he should just take all the other tracks recorded during the HFB sessions (how many did he say? 30?) and release HFB2.

Then he'll at least have time to speak to Liam, since he apparently is too busy now....

He didn't specificaly say two years though did he? The quote they used is as vague as they come. How anyone can be suprised that he's taking a break after the tour in the first place?

He'll take somewhere between 8-12 months off and then get back into the studio. It takes around a year for him to record and release the record and then a year to tour it. He'll be back some time in late 2014, maybe early 2015.
His schedule may depend on the whole MG fiasco. It'll probably be up to him to do promo for the anniversary. I don't think a tour will happen though, not with Noel anyway.

I think Noel has a lot of songs ready. He'll get back on the studio when he'll get tired of wtaching football at home, and realizes he's nearly 50.
But untill then 2015 will arrive, the war with Liam will be over and the joy to play MG in stadium will be to great to no embrace it. I'm sure the 2015 tour will happen.
Noel isn't that pationate about being a solo artist, he's doing it because he doesn't know what else to do, not by choice. He doesn't seem very pationate about it, he's pationate about writting music and making song and he can do that alone and with Liam if they patch things up. He still seems more pationate about Oasis and looks at his solo carreer like a present thing but not necessary his future. Anyway it's the way it looks in itw. It's seem a reunion is a possible thing. There's band where you know it's over for good, Oasis isn't really one of them.

There's band where you know it's over for good, Oasis isn't really one of them. considering the circumstances around the split it would be embarrassing to reactivate this band. sometimes it's better to let the past behind

If Oasis would celebrate a reunion they would end as one of these classic rock bands, who just play their best of on every tour, and thats not something i want to see. "Dig out your soul" tour could have been alot more interesting, if they would have added more variety and spontaneous stuff to their concerts. it already felt a bit more like that they cared for there legend status than promoting a new album.

Oasis/Noel fell into a pattern with album releases:
DM - N/A WTSMG - 1 year BHN - 2 years SOTSOG - 3 years HC - 2 years DBTT - 3 years DOYS - 3 years NGHFB - 3 years
Going by the above, I think we can expect something in 2014

Beady Eye in 2013/2014, Oasis in 2015, maybe the AA album in the middle of this.

I'm having a lot of troubles finding any spontaneous stuff in HFB setlist or BDI's. If they were reforming at leats we would have gigs with them playing good songs with a good band. We have only one or the other now that they've split up. And they've split up many times for the same reasons over the years and reform. This one would juste have been longer. I can't see any issue with them reforming and I'm pretty sure it will happen in a few year. Even the Roses have ! And Noel and Liam are too old to stay appart to long.

Noel is back on speaking terms with ex-Oasis bandmate Gem Archer. Sorry, that's bollocks. They performed together at the Royal Albert Hall in 2010...

Maybe it means Andy Bell and it's just lazy journalism...otherwise this is a nonsense article and everything in it is butter bollocks. Something tells me (judging by the source) the latter is true

The Oasis (What's the Story)Morning Glory? Tour might happen but,I believe that will be it regarding the re-emergence of Oasis. I think the Musicians Noel has around in High Flying Birds are a Great bunch of Musicians so why reform Oasis? as for the comments about Noel is just doing the Solo(or is it a Band?)Project for the time being well, there could be something in that but, You have to ask is it too little too late for the Brothers to sort out their differences. I mean what happened was the ultimately final straw and not forgetting the Megan/Natalie digs, insulting Christmas presents,Twitter/Tales From the Middle of Nowhere/Phone abuse and the dressing room bust up thats a hell of a lot to sort out
