Oh god. Could this be a preview of new material?!?!?!!!
It better not be a pointless Man City title celebration gig. He should get back to focusing on music!
I remember him saying "an album a year". Maybe he's struggling to come ho with decent songs?
COME ON LIAM ; PLEASE GIVE US NEW STUFF!!!!

I wouldn't have thought it had anything to do with City or not having the songs. I think they still have quite a few songs pre Oasis spilt and have been writing for some time now.
Would be disappointed if there wasn't anything new but i'd guess this is a warm up for the summer shows, get a setlist sorted etc.

Yeah agree its probably just a warm up gig. Quite a good idea to have a lottery style way to get the tickets, think more places should do that.
Roll on 9am tomorrow, would love to hear some new material

Great news! can't wait to see what songs they do and how they sound. Obviously just a rehearsal gig for the Heaton Park gig and festival appearances like what oasis did with SOTEOTN before the DOYS tour

This sort of gigs are amazing also because of the bootlegs that usually surface afterwards.

Cool. Hope some people from the board get to attend. We'll probably find out the situation with the bass player and more importantly we'll finally know what and how many Oasis song they are going with. And hopefully they preview something from their next project...although maybe that's unreasonable since they're gonna be playing the crowds that aren't their audience other than this one gig. There have to be a song or two that ate ready to be played live though. Glad that the "no gigs in 2012" assertion turned out to be a bluff. They would have ended up spending twice as long off as they did promoting the album.

Brilliant news. Interesting how it says 'keep an eye out for further announcements tomorrow', could be something maybe to do with the new album etc.

Finally some exciting news regarding a Gallagher brother, almost dozed off here for the past few months. I doubt we'll hear any new songs at the live gigs though. I'm mixing up the Liam interviews, but did he specifically say that they would play Oasis songs at the Roses show, or just "starting the next tour"? Anyway, can't wait to watch some new live vids on youtube soon, I still think the RAH show last year was the best concert I've ever been to, and especially regarding the crowd and Liam's vocals + spirit. Topped the Noel shows I went to 10 folds. Can't wait to see the guys live again, although It probably won't be this year.

Hopefully we'll get some other news in the coming days... Would love to hear something about a new song, single, or summer EP. Won't happen, but a guy can dream can't he? Something about the "keep an eye out for further announcements tomorrow" makes the mind fly.
