Someone that was at the Columbus? gig told a story about Noel getting the crowd to chant BEN at the keyboard player...presumably this must be true.
Glad I got to see HFB with Rowe...he's fabulous.

saw noel in DC, Mike rowe's wife had a baby (apparently that night) and the keyboard roadie named ben filled in for the night. he was not as good but still a good show. mike rowe was obviously more solid, but entirely more entertaining to watch! ben was bald  and didn't move an inch but did a good job. |

Hope he comes back. He was great in Oasis (far far better than Jay Darlington). Delighted when it was announced he was one of the High Flying Birds, really adds something extra to the tunes when he performs them live. Watch him on MTV Unplugged, especially the Some Might Say performance.

At the Detroit show I was situated directly behind some giant PA speakers that blocked my view of the keyboards and I really couldn't tell the difference between Ben and Mike. The crowd had a good time with the Ben chants.

Noel said that Ben is actually Mike Rowe's roadie, but is filling in while Rowe's wife is having a kid.

I saw Ben playing in Mexico City and I noticed he´s still working in the songs. He made some mistakes while playing The Death of You and Me, Talk Tonight and It´s good to be free. I noticed Noel looking at him while playing the piano solos and laughing everytime Ben played a wrong key. Maybe he was nervous.

He still needs to rehearse or whatever, but everytime that he plays certain parts, Noel and the rest of the band start to stare at him and laugh alltogether haha. Quite funny to be honest, cus you can see Ben concentrating really hard to not mess up anything
