Taking this with a pinch of salt, but there you go.
According to an Italian fan who met Liam in London, Beady Eye will play Some Might Say, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Champagne Supernova during their future gigs, Liam told him.

Some might say seems weird. C&A seems very likely and CS I don't know. Like some people said they already had ending gig songs like that with TMS.
And if they'll play 3 Noel's songs, how many songs by themselves are they gonna play ? It would be 6 oasis songs ? It's a bit too much IMO.

Bet this means that they are not gonna play their own-penned songs from Oasis.
Probably just 3 Noel-penned + Beady Eye songs.
If this turns out to be true, of course.

I think it's a massive mistake to play Noel songs. I'd much rather hear Turn up the sun, Keep the dream alive, songbird & finally a live version of eyeball tickler! They could maybe get away with one Noel song but anymore than that is embarrassing.

So what was the point of having Liam, Andy and Gem contribute to Oasis songwriting duties over the last decade if they won't stand behind their own work when the band breaks up? LAG wrote some really good Oasis songs. They should stand by them. Noel walked out on them and now they are going to play 1-2 of his songs at a Beady Eye gig? Play Eyeball Tickler and Boy With The Blues please. Top tunes.

Liam will criticised whatever so I say bring 'em on, CaA, CS, LF. But I to would like some LAG songs mainly TUTS and IOT

Why will they get critised for playing songs they've written in the past, Noel doesn't. But if they play 3 or 4 songs that Noel's written then it's embarrassing. Like I said I think they could get away with playing one track that Noel doesn't play so maybe they will play C&A

Like I said I think they could get away with playing one track that Noel doesn't play so maybe they will play C&A 4 is a bit too much I agree. But then it depends on the choice. If Liam wants to play some hits, chances are they'll be Noel's. But songs like C&A, SMS or CS are more related to Liam than Noel's to be honest, at least for the average gig gower. Noel won't even perform them ever so Liam should do them if he wants. But the probleme is that they should realy play some of LAG songs too. Songbird is a hit and a fan favourite, he has to play it, TUST is awesome live. I doubt this new because I can't see them not playing any of their song and not playing Songbird.

Some Might Say? The song that Liam had problems with in 1995, when his voice was absolutely amazing? Kinda doubt it. CS and C&A are pretty likely though, he should be able to do those fine.

Some Might Say is the worst choice they could possibly make. Liam hasn't been able to pull it off since.....well, since 1995. There's no way in hell that will ever sound good. 0 chance. The others are decent choices, although a little more adventure would be appreciated. How about some songs that haven't been played to death over the last decade? DYNWIM, MBM, Headshrinker, BIOD maybe? Or TUTS or HIABP? Edit: coke to The Resurrection. If you don't think he could pull off Some might say, There is no chance of him pulling off Headshrinker.

One of the main reasons they are gonna play Oasis songs is because they need to attract more neutral audience to the festivals. Us, Oasis fans, we'll be happy with any Oasis songs they will play, but for the casual listener it's different they will go to the gig only for the most well known Oasis songs. From LAG penned tunes only chance getting played is Songbird. The others difinitely would be Noel penned. As for Some Might Say, i think with lowered key, Liam can pull it off with his current voice. Let's don't forget when they lowered the key in For Anyone after some gigs. It's highly likely they can do it again. Like this version If this song turn up in a festival, the crowd gonna go crazy that's for sure.

I would be very disappointed if this was true. Would expect at least one LAG song as they seemed to get more prominence than they deserved at Oasis shows. Would love to hear Live Forever as even though I associate it most with Noel, it is one of the best songs ever written, full stop. Would hope for a couple of more obscure songs though; Liam mentioned wanting to play Rockin' Chair in a Q interview a few years ago and would love to see that. Time will tell...

Even if they play only hits at fuji, it doesn't mean the setlist of Oasis tunes won't change during the tour. They can switch Oasis tune every time they want, they don't have to play the same four night after night.

Swap C&A for Live Forever, and chuck Slide Away in there and it's perfect!

Go to 32:30, in 2002 they played it a few times but changed the key and it sounded great and Liam pulled it off really well.

some might say? get ready the ambulance for liam ;D pretty much. i'd much rather hear the boys play LAG songs. turn up the sun and eyeball tickler, for example, would fit perfectly in their setlist. champagne supernova seems redundant. they have wigwam AND the morning son in their sets; they'd be crazy to remove those fan favorites from their setlist. do they really need another song over six-minutes?

I'd also take into account that they might not be playing all of them at every gig. Maybe one this night, and another the next, those are just songs they are working with-thinking of

The SMS video icebreath posted is actually in standard tuning. Relative to the recording it sounds a bit flat, but only because the recorded version has the pitch shifted up slightly, probably from speeding up the tape (ala DLBIA and a few others). Liam shifts his singing around to skip some of the high notes but it sounds great. And great to hear the lead guitars in that vid! To me, the 1/2 step detuned versions of SMS sound a bit, well...flat

Also, I'd like to see A Bell Will Ring in the setlist. Gem's strongest song, and one of my favorite trackss off DBTT
Live Forever is another one that's sped up or was recorded sharp on the album. I think Liam's voice was really suited for lower ranges since day 1. Noel's songs sound great with Liam singing in the studio but Noel has a high voice and capo's so many songs on the 2nd fret on top of that, IMO it's part of what destroyed Liam's voice so early on (singing outside his range, plus the fact that they were so hardcore about touring).
