Out of curiosity, is it possible to estimate how much money Liam invested on PG in the beginning and how much the value of his shares increased over the years? IIRC they didn't make a profit until 2014 or so. £42,000 pre-tax profit for the year ending September 2014 against a £2m loss in the prior year. At the time Liam was reported as having a 35% stake in the company alongside other investors such as footballer Joe Cole and other named individuals. (Source- Daily Telegraph- 25th Jan 2016 )

First of all sorry for my English.
I understand in this article that this new company invested 10 millions for a stake on pretty green.Problably all the shareholders lost percentage with this new investment. But even with this new partnership Liam still remains the major shareholder. This is my thoughts reading this news.
But only people who works there know exactly What happened.

Why? Check out Pretty Green Group Ltd's structure. There is no evidence of Liam selling a single "PG share". What happened is the establishment of a new company that now owns 75% or more of PG Ltd (PG Group Ltd.) and Liam is a director of this company among others. I'll have a look again but according to Liam's own companies house listing he is only a current director of two companies- LG Productions Ltd LG Touring LLP Liam Gallagher Appointments
Pretty Green Group Ltd according to the link you gave has two current officers, neither of which are Liam unless I'm reading it wrong in between other accounts work (excuses, excuses, etc. ), and a chap by the name of Mr Richard Ralph is listed as the only person under 'persons with significant control'. I also can't see Liam listed as a current Director of Pretty Green Ltd or Pretty Green (Holdings) Ltd, though I admit haven't looked at the share structures at present and obviously am not saying you are wrong. This whole Pretty Green thing is quite murky, I'm expecting it to pop out anytime in the Paradise Papers revelations once they're finished with the Queen's tax exemptions, then we'll know all about Liam's parkas being purchased through a shell company in the Cayman Islands to fiddle with the VAT.

I know that's probably tongue in cheek but in fairness to LG from what I have read it looks like a fairly standard restructuring of the shares to enable this new investment from Rockpool. According to the latter's own website and the news reports they are providing growth capital, which is a type of private equity usually reserved for mature companies who are able to generate both revenue and profit but not on a scale to allow for major expansion, acquisitions or other investments. Because of this lack of scale this can usually be the best option open to a company, whereby the private equity firm buys a minority interest which may or may not end up as a controlling interest (such as through special voting rights) depending upon the accounting standards being used. Growth capital can also be used to effect a restructuring of a balance sheet to reduce debt on said balance sheet, and the investment is usually held as 'preferred stock' which amongst other rights has a preference over assets in the event of liquidation, dividends and convertibility to common stock.

I'm sure guigsysEstring can tell a us a lot about this. I wonder Liam gets any money from DLBIA since he didn't peform on the record. Does Wonderwall still pay the bills for them? I have written most of this before but here goes Big Brother Recordings Ltd which controls the Oasis masters, i.e. the recordings is owned 40% each by Liam and Noel, with Marcus Russell and Alec McKinlay having 10% each, with the latter I suspect for tax purposes as their joint shareholding conveniently amounts to 20% which is their commission on Oasis related income as the band management. Oasis Music is a trading name of Noel Gallagher which holds the rights to his Oasis related compositions alongside Sony/ATV and Creation Songs Ltd (Alan McGee and Dick Green) depending upon the song. Liam Gallagher, Andy Bell and Gem Archer all had their own publishing arrangements for their songs from during their time with Oasis, and continue to do so. Music publishing is paid separately on record sales from the masters, but is also paid on radio airplay, advertising licensing, covers, synchronization for films, TV, etc. The term refers to the actual song and not the masters of the versions we all know as Oasis songs. Just Call Me The Roller is correct that the brothers will both earn from the masters to DLBIA and Wonderwall via the masters, but only Noel, his publishing partners and Ignition via management fees will benefit from the publishing rights. Liam's donation to the Manchester cause I presume will come from his earnings from any digital or physical copy sales that may have arisen as a result of it being adopted as an anthem. I was working whole night and now I'm tired af reading this thread and scratching my head trying to make sense of it all

I got an older version made of cord. In the early days, the Lennon Jacket (that's how they called it for years) used to be a Black Label item, had a nice interior and the quality was much better, then they moved it to Green Label and in 2014 they started making the stripped-down versions they still stell today. So, unfortunately nowadays it's just a shadow of its former self.

Got the block floral polo this week. It’s beautiful by itself - even more so on me.

I might buy a cord version of this jacket tho, I could never find anything like it here in south Texas.

Pretty Green have went for quantity over quality with a lot of their designs.
Personally, I’d pay a bit more for the quality we saw in the first releases. The Egyptian cotton used for the t-shirts was first class, the merino wool too for the jumpers and the fact everything fitted properly and nothing ever shrunk in the wash.
I still buy their jackets and the desert boots are excellent but I wish they would reduce the size of the collection and realise not every single person is “slim fitting”, even Liam himself had a go about it.

Pretty Green have went for quantity over quality with a lot of their designs. Sadly, yes. Personally, I’d pay a bit more for the quality we saw in the first releases. The Egyptian cotton used for the t-shirts was first class, the merino wool too for the jumpers and the fact everything fitted properly and nothing ever shrunk in the wash. The first releases were a bit to simple/plain/clean for me. I prefer the collections from ca. 2010 to to 2012. The best pieces ever for me are the first edition of the Velvet Peacoat web.archive.org/web/20101229041611/http://www.prettygreen.com/shop/product/red-peacoat-velvet/and the White Boating Blazer web.archive.org/web/20120513080757/http://www.prettygreen.com:80/shop/product/navy-boating-stripe-tailored-jacketI guess they make much more money nowadays as they have about the triple amount of stuff per collection and it is much cheaper (to manufacture). I owned two wool knits which shrank although they were washed as specified on the label. That's just awful! What I think is brand-damaging as well is that the stuff is basically in constant sale and the quality reflects the sale price tags and not the standard ones! In addition, it's very hard for me to justify to buy things before they are marked down because unlike other brands basically nothing sells out before sale starts. One of the few excpetions is the Made in England collection. Top quality and not (yet) in sale. Smedley things are top notch, too. All in all, I still find about 2 or 3 things per collections that are stellar. PG is still one of my favourite brands. I just wish the (Green Label) quality was a bit more like Fred Perry. I still buy their jackets and the desert boots are excellent but I wish they would reduce the size of the collection and realise not every single person is “slim fitting”, even Liam himself had a go about it. Some time ago he talked about a possible "White Label" which would be more his size/style. Hope they're gonna make it!

There'll be a second Pretty Green x Beatles collection later this year, probably White Album related.
