It hasn't always worked in BID. ;D I guess Noel was very important to Liam's songwritting. not only liam. listen to "the beat goes on". horrible harmonics. i miss noels influence DGSS Yeah, as opposed to the GORGEOUS "harmonics" of "Record Machine". (Shut it you gimp.)

The Morning Son makes me cringe so much. The way Liam sings "nobody knows" sounds like a weird cross between Kermit the frog and Alan Carr.

Okay, tell me how do you want it to sound to appease your auditory meatus, my dear boy?? Do you want Miss Piggy instead of Kermit, how 'bout Jimmy Carr and Kermit instead?...Wait, okay okay, how 'bout this: How 'bout we leave Kermit the frog and Alan Carr as they are and tell me how the lyrics "The morning son has rose" sound? I think it sounds quite ethereal, me. You see 'cringe' is soo, I dunno, hyperbolic, but as far as how biting such criticisms are, less so.

It's a good song, but top 25 worthy? Not really sure about that. And how IIHAG didn't make the list boggles the mind.....

Nice for the song to get recognised but does anyone even take any notice of a Q mag list these days?

Noel-esque...?

Noel-esque...? God, I hope that doesn't end up a new catch-phrases to beat them with. Like Beatle-esque, Lennon-esque, etc. that is thrown at everything they do.

Good song. I still find FLW to be a better listen and WOMR is probably favorite BDI song in general, but still nice to see it get some recognition.

does it get any better than this? Not seen this performance before, really good but I'm afraid it does get better mate, this is just stunning performance of a song that in my opinion stands up to the best on NGHFB album

I'm sure I'm the only one on the forum who would say this, but if you told me I could only take one BE song or NGHFB song to listen to for the rest of my life, and I could never hear any of the others ever again, I would take the Morning Son. Crazy, I know, but thats just me.

Really? I think its great Noel isn't there. That after all is why BDI exist. It would sound like another Oasis album otherwise. everything sounds to clean. they said that DGSS is a rocknroll album, but i miss the rough sound on it.listen to two of a kind, a song thats quite forgettable. and then listen to "i believe in all" from oasis. it has the same kind of legs but it's way better because of noels influence i guess like the rough sound on NGHFB's?

As good as NGHFB is, no song on there comes close to touching on the majesty of The Morning Son.
