I'm pretty sure they are going to play Noel-written songs. Liam would've said otherwise by now when it gets mentioned in interviews. He wouldn't feel the need to defend the decision if they were only going to play LAG tunes.
But just imagine, for a moment, going to the first Beady Eye gig of the tour, when you have no idea what's coming, and the glorious opening notes of Turn Up The Sun begin to ring out...

Yeah far to many Oasis songs, I wouldn't want to see more than 2, maybe 3 at the most.

I know I am going to cringe the moment Beady Eye opens their set with "Rock n Roll Star". Nothing more rock n roll than playing songs from a guy who walked out on you before a festival gig, sung by a guy who didn't write the tune and instruments played by guys who weren't going to be in the band for another 6 years. Shame on you Beady Eye for potentially playing Noel written Oasis songs at Beady Eye gigs. Stick to the songs you wrote while in Oasis. You wrote some good tunes that were never played live. Give your fans a real treat!

'Yellow Tail' 'Four Letter Word' Turn Up The Sun 'Beatles and Stones' 'Millionaire' 'For Anyone' The Meaning Of Soul 'Three Ring Circus' 'The Roller' 'In the Bubble With a Bullet' 'Bring the Light' 'Standing on the Edge of the Noise' 'Kill for a Dream' 'The Beat Goes On' 'Man of Misery' 'World Outside My Room' 'Morning Son'
Encore 'Songbird' 'Wigwam' 'Sons of the Stage'
Personally I love I'm Outta Time but don't think he could sing it well enough to give it justice. Same with Keep The Dream Alive.
That would roughly be my setlist then once you take the best songs from album 2, add them and take a couple of suspect songs out like SOTEOTN we have ourselves 1 hell of a gig.

One thing Beady certainly don't need is a new opener! Four Letter Word is better than any opener Oasis had bar Rock n Roll Star.

yeah... to be honest i'd like them to keep it a 3 Oasis songs tops. i don't want them to be as shameless as Noel has been on his tour. add Oasis songs that you made famous, doesn't really matter who wrote them.

I still think they shouldn't play any Oasis songs.. Doesn't make any sense at all. Yes Oasis singer and oasis member playing Oasis songs, what a crazy idea. For god sake people, Noel doesn't allow himself to play most of hs repertoire because of Liam's incarnation of thoses songs, that's why he have shit like LBL at gigs, he said he would'nt mind if BDI played some of his song, so how can you still think Liam can't sing them if he wants to.

What they should do, is just play all Beady Eye songs, and then play Champagne Supernova, Cigarettes and Alcohol and Live Forever at the end.... Then one of them should take a picture of everyone's jizz face at the end xD

I prefer their current setlist to that.
Songbird and TUTS apart, their Oasis efforts were pretty dull to be honest. Don't really have any desire to hear them again.
If they are going to play Oasis then they might as well go the whole hog and play Supersonic, Rock 'n' Roll Star and Live Forever.

If they are going to play Oasis then they might as well go the whole hog and play Supersonic, Rock 'n' Roll Star and Live Forever. It's just sad to see. Liam is constantly ripping on Noel for playing 50% Oasis songs at HFB gigs yet Liam is now saying Beady Eye will be playing some Oasis songs on their next tour. WTF?!?!?! It's not like Noel is playing Songbird, I'm Outta Time and Turn Up The Sun. He's playing his own songs to lengthen his setlist. I have no problem with that and I'm sure the number of Oasis tunes will dwindle in time with more and more Noel solo material coming out. It'll be ironic for Beady Eye to now play not only Oasis songs but Noel written Oasis songs after taking a big stand against playing any of them this past year. At the end of the day, the best songs that will be played at a Beady Eye gig will be the ones written by Noel Gallagher (who isn't in Beady Eye). That can't make guys like Gem, Andy and Chris happy as Beady Eye members.

I don't think you'll ever go to a BDI gig where they play as many Oasis songs as Noel is playing. Liam would fold up shop before doing that. I'll bet there will never be more than 1 Noel written tune maybe 2 in a pinch. While I'd prefer for them to stick with BDI tunes with maybe some LAG Oasis tunes if they feel they have to...they are free cover whatever they want same as Noel is free to cover whatever he wants.

Noel has perfectly explained his logic for including so many Oasis songs. I personally don't have a problem with it. I enjoy those songs much like he does. Would I like to hear some of the b-sides? Oh hell yeah! Especially ASGOG and LTLSALOM. Perhaps down the road it will happen. I just seem to remember Liam being so against playing any Oasis material at Beady Eye gigs ever. He has obviously changed his opinion on that and is open to the idea. That is fine. People can change their minds. I just don't want them playing Noel songs. I'd much rather hear LAG Oasis songs. It just isn't a good sign for a band to fight it out all year playing their own material to later cave to the pressure of what Noel is doing with his HFB gigs. You can't tell me Liam isn't insanely jealous at Noel's solo success compared to Beady Eye's at the moment. He wants those songs back and everything that comes with it. You want to sell more albums and fill bigger venues? Write better songs!

You can't tell me Liam isn't insanely jealous at Noel's solo success compared to Beady Eye's at the moment. He wants those songs back and everything that comes with it. You want to sell more albums and fill bigger venues? Write better songs! From the beginning he said that they just wouldn't be doing it for the first tour...which they haven't. They were going to get BDI settled first. The remember them saying early on that they might play them on the third tour. I believe Andy said in the same interview that they might think about playing them "when they don't need to play them anymore." They are playing them earlier than I had expected. But maybe they just feel that they are established enough to be able to play them now. If they are the best tunes of the night...it's not going to hurt the gig. It can only be a better gig with an Oasis hit mixed in. What will change is critics appraisal of their gig. But they it's not like they are critically acclaimed already...so the slant with be different not different in terms of positivity of the write-ups. They could wait a decade to play Supersonic or Live Forever and they would always get the same reaction from critics. I just hope Liam is prepared. He's been getting pretty riled in interviews about Noel since Noel started promoting his album. He can't expect to play those tunes but expect that the discussion about Oasis and Noel to ease off a lot. In that way Noel may have been canny. The interviews this time around have been heavily about Oasis and the split and Liam. But next time around the Oasis songs in his show will be a non-issue and the split will have been talked to death.

And I know I stand alone when I say that I don't want to hear Oasis songs played live again UNTIL L&N sort it out and get the band back together. And if that means, never hearing Rock & Roll Star, DLBIA, C&A, I'll have to swallow that pill and live with it. Yes, Noel wrote them, Yes Liam sung them and gave them spirit and soul, but without one or the other, those songs just aren't the same.

I still think they shouldn't play any Oasis songs.. Doesn't make any sense at all. Yee, you can't pretend to be 2 bands at the same time They just need a whole batch of new songs, like any other new band and stick with some of their previous effort, that's it.

I enjoy it to end the evening. it's good as a closer no doubt. and it's better than the original version but that doesn't change the fact that i hate this song. it's just weak. they should choose a song with a big bang, like my generation or i am the walrus. but i hope on the next album is a song which could be made to be the last song on a gig, that would be great
