am i the only one who doesn't like the live version of this song? i don't think they really managed to get this song right If I were to rank the songs from NGHFB live and on record, WAL would be first on record and last live. Sux live right now. Although this version from Conan is moderately better. I would rank Dream On and SB&JF much lower as live incarnations more so than WAL. I don't mind the live WAL performances. I think they're just barely above average. And it probably ranks in the middle in terms of songs on the setlist.

They don't get WAL live. It's the wrong key and Noel struggles with the high notes live. And where's the piano ? It wasn't a great song when I've seen him live either. The song looses its dance spirit and becomes an average rock song. Anyway, this version was a little better. Noel seems a little more confident. I like the look he had singing the "whouwhou" at the end. But he was way classier as a a guitarist than as a frontman.
But even Liam didn't become a frontman at day one, he took a few years to figure his pose while singing, to find his vocal style. Anyway I doubt Noel will ever be great as a frontman, but he can get better than this. He's aware of it, he said in a recent itw "I've got to work on stage presence".

WAL is good on Jonathan Ross. THe next American single should be Record Machine. That's the tune that resonates here– I know, my friends have heard it.

I'm on board with this, altho I've been slowly warming up to SB&JF lately...live it definitely dragged a bit and Dream On's outro does itself no favors. Freaky Teeth steals the show for me

Should be axed from the next group of shows for Alone on The Rope or something...
