What in all of Noel's interviews gave you ANY indication that he wanted Oasis back together? You're keeping twisting the truth and avoiding the real questions. You must be a journalist. Nobody said Noel wanted Oasis back together. But starting a solo career by saying you regret to leave your former band is quite weird. Then the main question still is why mentioning the idea of a tour? What was the point? Noel has worked with journalist long enough to know that the minute he'll talk about the hypotetical idea of "a tour that would have been great", they'll ask him about it until the end of the year. So again why did Noel bring the subject of something as concret of a tour ? WHAT WAS THE POINT? Because the fact that they can't do that tour (which Noel had obviously been planning on) is what he regrets. He always mentioned it in relation to why he regretted the band collapsing. His big regret wasn't because he had wanted to make another record with them or because he misses his friends...it was because he had been planning for a 2015 WTSMG tour. Is that so hard to understand? It's obviously been something that his mind has been dwelling on quite a bit and it's obviously the biggest reason for his initial regret when leaving the band. He may even already be working on the preliminary idea of what they should be including in the rerelease. Presumably they'll have to get footage together to be cut and cleaned up if they plan on doing a DVD. So maybe that is why he mind is so fixed on the WTSMG...who knows. Was there a point? Not really in all likelihood. It was hardly promoting HFB to talk about the Oasis reunion according to him wasn't going to happen. If anything it was counterproductive to getting people to pay attention to the new material. What you seem unable to get around is...why does Noel accurately quoting Liam make you so angry? |

Don't worry, I'm not really angry, I'm just sick of Noel fanboys or girls finding escuses to everything Noel does or says. I love Noel and Liam but I think they are both bad kids, with ridiculous behaviour. Liam is more impulsive and Noel plays more mind games. In the end they both are shitheads to each other. But you have an obvious example of a Noel's mind game to Liam and the press, and you're still finding escuses. If Noel had soooo much respect for the fan as you say he as, why did he left the band letting 10000 people waiting for him? Why did he bring the idea of this tour, to make fan having more regrets? I mean the simple fact that he regrets not doing this tour doesn't mean he had to mention it. And trashing Liam by using him as an escuse is no better. He's just putting himself as the same level as Liam when he does that and still people find him more classy than Liam, it's ridiculous. There's no angel in Oasis, they're both the same. |

When did this get to be about respect for the fans? And were did I argue on the basis that he does.
He has been more honest and consistent with us though. There is absolutely no question of that. I haven't had to really fully reevaluate Noel's standpoint at all. Liam's has however experienced an about face.
And who the hell cares that he brought up a prospective tour? Why are you so fussed? He brought up a tour that isn't going to happen. You KNEW if they had stayed together there would have been another tour. Noel saying that they would have toured again is hardly a massive revelation.
I do acknowledge when Noel says something moronic. But honestly...this isn't that bad. It wasn't a lie or even a misrepresentation of the truth. It was a way to avoid the question. Just like Liam tried to avoid the questions of the split by saying that Noel had been planning on leaving the band since 2008. Was that true? No, but he offloaded all the blame to avoide having to go into it in depth.
Honestly...there is nothing anyone could do obviously, other than to reunite Oasis, that would make you happy.

Sorry, I don't know if you're aware of it but mentioning a Morning Glory tour isn't like doing an 8th album tour. It's much more important to a mass of people. I never thought about it, most of fans didn't either. So bringing up this idea the way he did, to then say with contempt that Liam can do it ithout him is just disrespectful to the fans. A morning glory gig would have been absolute magic, you don't play with this idea, and you don't get Liam involved in your answer not to it, it's a really shitty behaviour. Oasis toured all their releases. They toured the DM anniversary. Someone is just a bit pissed that Oasis is finished. Let go of the rage. It's been 2 years and a bit.
