There's one thing lacking in this discussion: Technique.
Liam is singing with his throat, which will kill your vocal chords, and which i'm sure is why his voice changed that much over time. And which is why he will have to watch out for his voice, because it won't recover once he takes it too far.
Noel sings with his (EDIT:Stomach), which is what singing teachers will tell you to do. It doesn't ruin your voice, and it's healthier.
Secondly, if you don't warm up your voice, you won't hit the notes perfect. I guess people that say Noels voice is deteriorating think of his performance in especially if i had a gun. If you try to sing it yourself, you'll see there are some notes that are higher than anything liam sung for 15 years. It's a harder song, it's not gonna be perfect every night. Most of beady eyes songs are based on5-6 notes, which liam sings great, but he doesn't do falsetto, or anything really challenging for a singer. Noel does.
Liam is singing good right now, so is Noel. Should be enough.

I think it's great that Liam is sounding decent. But to say that he's near his best is deluded. There's no power there anymore and if he actually hits the notes these days its considered a bonus. I do hope to see more improvement though.

The Morning Sun? Not the hardest Song to sing. But he is doing fine on the songs that are written to suite Liams voice. So it`s good! "I take cocaine in the pouring rain and I got no fear"- that was Liam singing great. Compare it and you`ll have to accept that his voice really got worse. But as I said. When the songs suite his voice he can pull them off and thats what he`s got to do!

the last time i really enjoyed liams vocals was on the "standing on the edge of noise" session in 2008. I couldn´t agree more.

I agree about Standing on the Edge of the Noise being an ace gig, but really, Liam's performances at the beginning of this tour are on par with that one, and he has been overall significantly better in the whole tour.
In my opinion, these are as good as his vocals in Standing on the Edge...:

The above video of Four Letter Word are better vocals than Standing On The Edge definitely.
