I would agree with that GIMH. I was surprised how dodgy Noel's voice was at times during the Radio 2 gig.

We all know how bad he sounded in 2005, 2006 and bits of 2009. He's singing really really well. Noel's voice is far from being perfect like it was before. He's strugling as a frontman. He was not born to be a frontman and now Liam is back to his (almost) best! Beady Eye is far superior live than Noel imo.

But there's a lot of singer, that have perfomed and partying all night in the 90's and hadn't lost their voice. Like our dear friend Damon Albarn for example. So Noel should be careful not to do the Liam method.[/quote] maybe i'm just to stupid to understand. but i don't really know what you mean. noels voice is as good as on the last tour. he sounded not any worse on the bbc radio 2 concert than on the last tour. i guess the most people here are just trying to find something to talk their heads off.. for a fact, his voice is much better than in the 90s and he improved his vocal style. it's the total opposite of liam. the last time i really enjoyed liams vocals was on the "standing on the edge of noise" session in 2008. other than that he sounded decent and i personally love his voice even if it's crashed because his voice is the last fucking rocknroll voice. the only mistake they have done was that they cleaned his voice so much on DGSS that he won't be able to perform that good live |

I just mean Liam's voice deterioration is his entire fault, it's not an obligation to have your voice that deteriored when you're a singer for 20 years. And Noel sounds a bit rought already in my opinion, so he should take care of his voice. Noel sounded a little bit rough on the BBC show that's all, he was great anyway. He sounded better on the DOYS tour imo but only because he was doing 5 songs a show, so his voice was preserved. Of course he sings better than in the 90's. |
